Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas Jones.
Hi Nicholas, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi there, My name is Nicholas Jones but I go by nickanthony on all social media platforms. My journey began in December of 2019 when I posted a TikTok that accumulated a fair amount of views, then in February 2020 I came out with my first dance that would then start my career which was the Max and Ruby dance. Later on, I went on to create numerous trends from the summer to fall of 2021. Some of those trends being the “Groove Tonight” dance, “DBSB” dance, “Masquerade” dance. And now in 2023, trending with the “Smack” transition audio by TikTok user @syphez.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part, I can say it has been a smooth road overall. Although, there were times when my engagement was high and many people would start hate trains on my page for no reason. With being on the internet and putting yourself out there as much as I do, it’s bound for me to have some group of people that may disagree or not always align with my content. Mental health plays a huge part in it as well. I’ve had a lot of things in my personal life happen just as momentum was really up and going, and it shows in your content when you as the creator aren’t 100%. It’s a mental game of trying to balance what your doing while also looking out for your own individual mental needs.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Im a content creator, dancer, model, photographer and director. With content creating, my videos vary from fashion, dance, vlogs, comedy, food, anything you can think of to really attract all types of viewers. I specialize in photography and film. Film being the main practice of mine since I am an aspiring director. Specifically in the Psychological Horror/Thriller Genre. When it comes to what I’m most known for, automatically it’s my TikTok presence and the dances I’ve created on the platform, as well as transitions on the app that I’ve created. I think what sets me apart from others is my extreme versatility and how I adapt easy to my work environment or creative environment. As someone that has a specific vision myself, I try to really look from the eyes of the creator and/or viewer to get a better understanding of what needs to be executed. I think also what sets me apart from others is that not many people want to take the film route. Due to the long hours of work and low pay work, it takes to get to the director chair. From being a production assistant to producer it takes years just to get and tell your story. Thankfully for social media, I’m able to start filming and directing at my age and create that vision I want to share to the world.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about our city is the architecture. The hills and mountain landscape. I absolutely love the green and busy city due to living in a small desert town my whole life. What I least like about our city is the homelessness. The trash problem in Los Angeles is huge and we all need to play a part in bringing light back into our homes. The pollution is probably the worst but living in a big city where almost everyone needs a vehicle to travel for work or anything in their everyday life, we have no control over that matter.
