Meet Nia Rice of Serene Agency in Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nia Rice.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Nia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m an author, media specialist, brand manager and much more! I founded Serene Agency, and I’ve been working within the entertainment, lifestyle and film industry for almost ten years! I authored #Eventproof when I became one with myself in my spiritual journey. It is in relation to the Napoleon Hill Think and Grows Rich elements for the marketing component however in relation to events and branding. After moving to New York, I worked on million-dollar campaigns that taught me so much about branding, public relations, and events.

I moved to New York in 2016, and I immediately dived into PR and events working at firms on campaigns such as Bic, 3M, Amazon, Grammy Award-winning singer Chaka Khan, Big Krit, Young Jeezy and more. All the while, working on my company, Serene MGMT. After branching off to be the full-time entrepreneur I always wanted to be, I began working with top entertainment companies and brands on the east coast. Things began moving fast, landing my clients on major red carpets, major press placements, and brand partnerships. The brand has worked with; Grammy Award Winning Artist Elle Varner, Grammy Award Winning producer Hitboy, Atlantic Records International dancer and artist Yvng Swag, International Records Artist Letoya Luckett, Issa Rae Productions TV series “King Ester” and more. We’ve planned events for thousands, or small executive dinners for small amounts. The experience is what tells the story of the brand. I bring the serenity to clients’ experiences, to assure that they’re a fully well-rounded entertainer.

In 2019, I moved to Los Angeles. Since I’ve been on major feature film red carpets, I worked with top Grammy award-winning producers and much more! Our agency is still one of the most sought after on the east, and now the west coast is understanding just what’s going on!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting off in New York my agency was booming, but like any entrepreneur, I made mistakes and had to learn. I moved to Los Angeles with only one suitcase and $300 to my name. I spent most of my last on the plane ticket and an Airbnb for two weeks.

I still had clients that really wanted my services on the east coast, so I was barely surviving but pushing through attending events every day. Networking from left to right! I found myself in rooms with people I couldn’t believe. I was being considered for campaigns and clients were coming!

Things are finally shaping up, but LA truly built my spirit of faith within myself, talent, skills, and abilities.

Serene Agency – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Welcome to the private island where your brand is in the hands of passionate leaders in entertainment and film. We hold the treasure map that leads our clients to ultimate success within public relations, branding and content management. We infuse all elements of the island – music, fashion, sports, cannabis, hospitality and more – in order to build a ship that can own the sea.

Serene Agency is a premium personable agency specializing in publicity, branding and content management. Our clients are advanced industry professionals, feature/independent films, social media influencers, musicians, and actors. We’re based within the Los Angeles, California area – with satellite offices in New York. Whether it’s securing red carpet appearance, developing a publicity campaign for the release of their album, executing a major press run, developing content shoots, partnering clients with fortune 500 brands; we’ve got them secured!

I was nominated by Huffington Post as one of the Top Millineal publicists in the nation. And Medium Magazine named me The Rising Brand Expert in the entertainment field. We pride ourselves on being leaders for the next generation!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is defined within my accomplished goals.

Serene Agency is just the start of my success. I currently run three businesses, forming 2, and will be opening two more businesses within the next 2-3 years. My fear of being put into a box of only entertainment and film pushes me every day to exceed my own expectations. I’m currently enterprising Serene Agency so that it’s fully functioning with a team of 5-10 team members by the end of 2020, and it’s been going pretty good!

I know that I’m successful once I’ve created jobs and careers for my family and friends.
