Meet Nehemiah Luke of Neo Filmz in Woodland Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nehemiah Luke.

Nehemiah, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
A year and a half ago, I was going to college at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga and working at In N Out. One day I realized that I wanted to pursue what I love to do, Photography. I Moved to Pasadena for a year and started my modeling agency. I started to expand very quickly as I started to shoot with more music artists.

Within a year, I grew my modeling agency, started shooting with an artist more consistently, started working on publishing my first magazine and moved to Woodland Hills. I am currently booked months in advance with different models and festivals. Upcoming festivals I am shooting are Lovers & Friends Festival and Rolling Loud Miami. As I continue to grow, I always find time to give back to the community by partnering up with a nonprofit organization called Agora Temple. Everyday I am either Shooting, Editing, or giving back to the community in any way I can.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I first moved out to LA with no job and not knowing anyone, that was a struggle. I had a house on lease so I had bills to pay. The way I made money was through photography. I woke up every day, grabbed my camera, went to Melrose Ave and started asking attractive females if they would like to have a free Photoshoot so I can post some work. I also went to concerts to capture artists performing. I did whatever I could to take pictures.

Please tell us about Neo Filmz.
My business/company is the modeling agency and photography. I’m known a photographer taking pictures for well-known females and music artists. I’m most proud of the work iv done and how much iv grown. I’m definitely different because most photographers are tied down to one artist or model and I’m not. I have access to all beautiful models and well-known artists. I guess you can say I’m a freelance photographer that I well connected in different industries.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Favorite memory as a child was playing soccer and making funny videos with my friends.
