Meet Navid Safaei of Elevate Dental in Encino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Navid Safaei.

Navid, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Elevate Dental is the culmination of years of fine-tuning and perfecting the necessary skill-set to provide the absolute best of the industry. After graduating from USC Dental School in 2010, I knew the one-on-one personal style of dentistry I wanted to provide was being washed out by the corporate model which focused on production numbers rather than personal service. But if I was going to perform dentistry as a career, I needed to do it the way I believed it was intended to be done, a personal one-on-one service reminiscent of the traditional dentists that built profound relationships with patients.

I spent the next few years perfecting the details and aligning the unique style to the dental industry. After outgrowing associate positions and realizing that in order to achieve TRUE personal attention, I needed to create my own environment to practice. I did so and dialed in everything needed at my own office.

Elevate Dental was founded in 2017. In a short period of time, we have built a loyal cult-like following who believe that the service of dentistry is much better experienced with an intimate relationship with the dentist and staff. A style where the dentist is easily accessible to the patient even on nights or weekends. Our patients are important to us and we know each of them by name, know their histories, the work they need, without having to look at their charts. To me, this is true personal dentistry. Without naming names, we have built relationships with and provided service to Models, Red Bull athletes, future Olympians, actors, musicians, TV personalities, Miss California winners, etc.

Our continued attention to our patients has gained the attention of local and statewide agencies. We have been chosen to be the exclusive provider for the Miss California Organization. Its an honor to be recognized in this way, as it validates that our practice model is one that the community values.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth? No.
Fun? Yes!
Learned A Lot? You bet!

Dentistry is a unique industry in that it is a fusion of business, customer service, medicine, insurance, and administrative duties. Being able to balance these variables presents unique struggles, that for me, required a change of the typical delivery of service. Fighting the industry standards and instead of putting the patient first instead of insurance or red tape was a model that some doubted. I think we’ve proved the doubters wrong.

Please tell us about Elevate Dental.
Elevate Dental provides comprehensive dental care with a focus on personalized medicine. Every case is unique and must be treated accordingly. Our office performs ALL aspects of dentistry from basic check-up and cleanings to crowns, cosmetic work (veneers), dental implants, Invisalign, surgeries, and everything in between. What makes us proud as a company is that we are changing the way dentistry is performed and the way patients perceive the way a dental visit should be.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing!

There are a time and place for everything. Our past molds our present and future. If anything was done differently, then our company and model may have shaped a different way. The people I’ve met along the way, the experiences that have shaped my views, and everything I’ve been through has shaped who I am today and the type of dentistry I perform. I would not change anything. I love it.
