Meet Natalie Teichmann of Let’s Get Tuned

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Teichmann.

Natalie Teichmann

Hi Natalie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been a school teacher since 2008 and a yoga teacher since 2014. I love being a forever student and a guide. From 2015-2017, I was able to attend weekly sound bath classes at Wanderlust studio in Hollywood. I was already drawn to the more subtle and meditative aspects of yoga, and the sound baths drew me in deeper.

My teacher was very knowledgeable and I took my first Sound Healing training course with her. From there, my business partner and fiancé – Jon, and I have taken hundreds of hours of sound healing training and have distilled what we have learned into an accessible, highly experiential, and scientifically grounded training.

Our hope is to share the health benefits of sound baths with others in a safe and effective way.

We started Let’s Get Tuned in 2018. We started small by hosting sound baths and yoga classes from our home as well as other venues. This year, we opened our own studio and it may be the first Sound Bath studio in the country. We offer sound baths on a daily basis as part of the regular schedule and are very grateful to share this wellness modality with others.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Financial obstacles come with most businesses. Initial investments are huge. We use the highest quality instruments in our sound baths. We also have high-quality props, such as organic cotton blankets. Each little detail adds up because we want to create the best possible experience.

There is a lot to do as a small business owner, so juggling all the aspects of business can also be a challenge. Luckily the work we do is deeply rejuvenating- teaching yoga and leading sound baths. This makes the other areas of the work more approachable and manageable.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a Sound Bath and Yoga Studio. We are one of the first sound bath studios in the country, where the class schedule always includes daily sound baths.

Sound Baths are an easy way to balance the nervous system and give the body much-needed deep rest.

At our studio, we view yoga from a holistic and meditative standpoint. Yoga is about our mind and energy. Physical postures are a pathway to a deeper understanding of self. Each class is well-rounded and always includes a savasana, usually a sound bath savasana.

Expect to feel rested, nourished, and refreshed after attending a class or sound bath.

We are also passionate about education and teacher training so that others can learn to facilitate sound baths in a safe and effective way. We offer a wide range of instruments for sale and always encourage hands-on learning.

I am launching a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training starting March 2023. The TEN-month-long course will meet for one weekend a month and include a variety of yoga styles practices and will include sound healing training as well.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Jon has always been interested in nature and sports. He is curious, rebellious, and outgoing. He was not a shy kid. Neither was I, I’m a Leo rising and don’t mind being in the spotlight. I participated in theater from 6th to 12th grade. I love leading a group of people and always knew I’d end up a teacher. Jon is comfortable in front of crowds as well, with his background in circus performance. Fun and lightheartedness are key to all past and present work we do.
