Meet Natalie Ramirez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Ramirez.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’ve always loved taking photos and documenting memories. It just took me awhile to learn that I could make a career out of it. That I truly loved creating beautiful portraits of other people. There is something so special about having a person come and sit in front of your camera. They are allowing you to capture them in a moment of time that is fleeting. To be able to give them that moment to look on and cherish for years to come is a very unique experience that drives me and influences my work.

Please tell us about your art.
I specialize in photographing women and children. I believe in showing every single person that sits for me how special and beautiful they are. Everyone has something about them that is wonderful and the portraits they take with me are a reflection of that. This is why my photo shoots are highly personalized to the subject. I work with my clients to make sure that they are comfortable with every aspect of their shoot from styling to posing. Once we are done, they have beautiful portraits to take home and display.

We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
I really am a fan of Instagram. It’s a great place to connect with other artists and inspire each other with your work.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I am on Instagram as @bugandbirdphotography and I post a lot there. I also keep my website updated. The website is also a great place to see videos of photo shoots, so you can have a feel of what the Bug and Bird experience is like.
