Thanks for sharing your story with us Natalie. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I saw a need in our generation. We’re in a serious identity crisis. As a culture, we have the propensity to believe the counterfeits of identity and purpose that are currently being sold to us.
The counterfeit that is being sold is that what we do, how much money we have, the accolades and success that we have to define who we are, and that the purpose in our life is to obtain those things and then we’ll be happy. That narrative is false. Our worth and value isn’t in those things, it’s in who created us.
Hillsong Channel was the perfect fit to collaborate with on this show – they saw the need as well and from that, “Now with Natalie” was created.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road is never a CONSTANT smooth ride when you are living in your purpose. There were always obstacles along the way. They allow you to be stretched and strengthen your faith. One of the main obstacles I faced was trusting the process. I had to understand the process God was taking me through to create this show was worth it, and it was!
The biggest lesson I learned along the way was not to abort the process. We need everything we learn in those processes to sustain us for what’s to come. I also learned a lot of patience and to learn how to trust God all over again.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Now with Natalie story. Tell us more about the business.
I have a television show, Now with Natalie. The purpose of the show is to dismantle the counterfeits of identity and purpose that are being sold to our generation. This show reveals what your true identity and true purpose is.
It is a six-episode docuseries featuring Hailey Bieber, Kelly Rowland, Tyson Chandler, Elaine Welteroth, Angela Manuel Davis, and Jerry Lorenzo. We talk all things entertainment industry, true identity, and purpose and dive deep into how our identity and purpose are found in today’s culture.
I believe this program is set apart from others because of the transparent conversations that are being had and who they are being had with.
