Today we’d like to introduce you to Naomi Singleton.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Naomi. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I remember as a child lining up with my siblings waiting for my Mom to shovel that spoon full of cod liver oil down our throats, Yuck! Always putting together some fruits or herbs to help heal the elements that caused us dis-ease. The doctor was only for yearly check-ups and emergencies in my home. There was just this innate ability to know what and how. My mom passed that down to me and now I am building on that.
Years ago, I began studying to become a nutritionist. While doing that I worked in the dietary department at a hospital. Meeting the patients and hearing them explain to me the amounts of medications they took and not understanding how they ended up still sick. Seeing how we are being conditioned to accept illness and it being normalized, pushed me further into the direction of wholistic healing.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The smoothest part of this is being able to do what comes naturally to me and loving it. Wholistic healing is a self-journey and I am simply a vessel to help guide you through. Getting people to understand that wholistic healing is not about what new herbs or oils are trending. You have to stay on top of what is new, to properly educate your people. What’s trending isn’t always what’s best for you.
Please tell us about Arukah Herbs & Oils.
Arukah Herbs & Oils was birthed from my spirit. It started with me first. Arukah means to heal, make whole, restoration, soundness. This is what we are purposed to do, not just treat symptoms, but the root the whole being from the inside out. When I started many of the people who began reaching out to me, were having a difficult time sleeping. From pain amongst other things.
So I created our most popular line, Revitalized which consist of; bath soaks, candles our Night, Night tea (my favorite). Along with; Arukah Herbs & Oils pain reliever; MagikPaste. Arukah Herbs & Oils is customized for the person. You are the biggest part of what goes into the products you purchase. I am proud of the impact this is having on the ones that do reach out. To have someone come back and say, I can’t remember the last time I slept like that or I just feel good. Thank you! I am proudest of that.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
All that I have and am experiencing has given me the knowledge and understanding I have today. I am not where I want to be and am still growing. I can’t say I would do anything differently at this point just give me a minute.
