Meet Monica Ramon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Ramon.

Monica, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I m an actress from Barcelona, Spain. I moved to LA in 2007 by myself and immediately I started working in several independent films.

My first two films in LA was with the Star of Blood in Blood out “Damian Chapa”, with him I worked in the movie “Polanski”, a biopic about Roman Polanski and in the film“Mexican Gangster”,where I played the role of “Corta” girlfriend of the lead,a gangster played by Chapa.

Since then, I have been working in the Tv series “Vida” and “This is My Story” a Latino Dramatic Tv mini series.

I worked as well in the movie “A Beautiful Soul 2018” a biopic about James Dean played by the actor Cody Mullins ,there I played the role of “Pier Angeli”.

I was lucky enough to get a day player part in the film “What just happened”2008 and have the opportunity to meet Robert de Niro and Sean Pean 🙂

“Dirty Girl” the short, won best short film in the H.international film festival 2010, there I play the lead role “the patient”, you can read the story of this film at my Imdb page, a touching story about a girl fighting with breast C.

In the tv series “Hell s kitty” I m a “funny medium” that was a character role that I really loved to play.In the premiere, I remember people laughing a lot, I love making people laugh, it s always beautiful:)

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well, acting is not an easy road for anyone and specially when you are a foreign actor. To be honest, some people adore my accent but other people, don’t! Well, I keep reminding myself every day that there are a lot of actors with a foreign accent, like Sofia Vergara or Penelope Cruz.

Acting is my passion so I keep going to my auditions and preparing my roles as good as I can! So I can get ready for my next job, my next film 🙂

As my acting teacher from Spain Angel Gutierrez always said “Acting is always a challenge” and I love it:)

What else should our readers know?
Well,I would like to become a better actor and to have the opportunity to work with A list actors, professionals in big-budget films or as a regular in a TV series.

We actors, call it “to get to the next level”:)

I m very lucky to have my manager “Matt Chassin” who represents me for around ten years. He became like family to me and as a professional is one of the best in Town!

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?

As an actor, I think I m good at comedy, people say I could do “stand up comedy” that I’m so hilarious! Lol, I have this thing since I was a kid. It seems “I m funny!” just kidding;).

To be honest I think I work a lot for everything I got but God always play “the lead role”in our lives. He is the one who decides everything. That s what I really believe 🙂

At my backstage.com you can watch some of my work if you like:)

A big hug Stephanie, thanks for this wonderful interview and a big hug to all the wonderful readers today❤
