Meet Monica Armenta of Her Little Wolves in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Armenta.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Monica. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
During my pregnancy with my first child, I felt so empowered. I felt beautiful and badass! I wanted others to feel empowered as well. So I started making t-shirts! Not your ordinary tees, but tees that made you feel good. My shop has been opened for a little over a year now, and I am in disbelief on the success and love it has received!

Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth? Not at all. When I initially started my business, it took off a few months later. I was juggling it all with a 1-year-old, and my stepsons (8 and 14 at the time). My relationship with my fiancé was rocky and we ended up splitting ways. So while my business was booming, I was going through some heavy hardships. Some days are tough, but the good days outweigh it all. I have to stay optimistic not only for myself but for everyone. In the midst of all this, my staple tee “Badass Motha” was created.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Her Little Wolves story. Tell us more about the business.
Her Little Wolves is an empowerment brand. It brings mamas and women together.

I am what you call, “A ONE WOMAN SHOW” (for now) I do it all. I pack your orders, keep track of inventory, emails, returns, exchanges, marketing, and etc. But I am hoping to hire someone very soon. This mama needs help! I am not sure what sets me apart from other t-shirt companies, but I do love that the majority of my tees are embroidered. I am just hoping to connect with others and letting them know they are not alone in this. Our community is amazing. My customers are amazing. The support is AMAZING. When women support women, amazing things truly do happen.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
That’s a good question. I’m still new to the game, but I am hoping the trend of making your own tees changes for the good! It’s a great opportunity for people like me to own a small business. It’s a good market to be in right now, it keeps growing.
