Meet Mohammed Hossain of Cali Car Buyers in Mid Wilshire

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mohammed Hossain.

Mohammed, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started Cali Car Buyers by realizing the automobile industry lacks transparency but more importantly, the headaches behind selling a car. I’ve sold numerous amount of cars and all of my cars were kept in great shape, even as a daily driven vehicle. Each time I would try to sell my car, I’d dread the process. I knew what to expect and the amount of time I would waste showing my car. I’ve experienced people point out flaws that were never found in my car just to negotiate my asking price.

Fast forward almost four years later, the younger me had the solution I was looking for. I developed a business with the qualities I was seeking; transparency and trust. I’ve been passionate about automotive from a very young age. I learned and gained the skills mostly from hands-on experience and trial and error. Sometimes the best way to start and learn something is just by going at it headfirst; by overcoming constant challenges and learning from past mistakes, I am proud to say that I am now starting my 3rd year in business with Cali Car Buyers.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. Nothing great ever comes from a smooth road. You have to get used to getting uncomfortable and stepping out of your comfort zone. A lot of my struggles came in regards to the backend of the business that no one really talks about (ex. funding, accounting, cash management, etc.). I also faced challenges with building the brand in such a large and competitive industry such as automotive.

We learned and continue to learn a lot about different aspects of marketing and customer acquisition. I had to analyze the business model and fine-tune our customer experience, and still, continue to make changes. The takeaway- struggles don’t stop and as an owner, you must be ready to overcome any obstacles that come your way. No matter how big or small the challenge may be, it is important to not give up! Remember, as the great Nipsey Hussle once said, “it’s a marathon, not a sprint”

Cali Car Buyers started because we are here to make a change. We are here to offer a solution for everyone to sell their car in a different way that is much more convenient, honest, and transparent- something the automotive industry lacks. This purpose and value that we focus on is the greatest challenge because we have to constantly make sure our customers can resonate with that.

Cali Car Buyers – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Cali Car Buyers is a unique business. I focused on combining traditional dealership and face-to-face interactions with the efficiency of technology. Cali Car Buyers focuses on offering a solution to everyday people trying to sell their car without dealing with the headaches, negotiations, tire-kickers, or the shady people. Cali Car Buyers focuses on excelling in the industry with reputation building and customer service. Our customers come first and we revolve all growth on that.

Cali Car Buyers offers a solution for people to sell their cars faster and safer. We specialize in all makes and models, and we pay with guaranteed funds on all deals. All our offers are transparent, honest, and the true market value of your car. Cali Car Buyers is truly the best way to sell your car fast in Los Angeles and get cash for your cars.

As a company, I am proud that Cali Car Buyers is consistently growing and maintaining the most crucial element to any growing brand: positive reputation. We have a ton of satisfied customers, and it’s very rewarding to hear that the customer experience we focus on is 100% always being executed. Our reputation is what sets us apart from our competitors. We focus heavily on transparency and communication so our customers know exactly how we determine the cash offer on their ride.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment has to be where I am currently in life. I started this journey with a lot of dreams and goals of where I want to be and where I’d like it to go. According to SBA (Small Business Administration), 30% of new businesses fail within the first year. I’ve had pivotal points within the last three years where I felt like my business was going to come to an end. I personally made a ton of sacrifices, lost countless hours of sleep, amongst many other types of losses all for the sake of pursuing my dream. I’m still not where I’d like to be, but it’s important to take a step back and realize the bumps on the road that I’ve overcome. This time in my life is by far one of my proudest moments thus far in my career.
