Meet Mirna Vizcaino of Mir Elixirs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mirna Vizcaino.

Hi Mirna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story. 
Mir Elixirs began from a burning passion towards plants, herbs, spices, and essential oils; I began creating custom scent blends as an alternative to perfumes and colognes that contain harsh chemicals and parabens. Making blends with herbs, resins, and essential oils became a love language. Our slogan is, “Smell good and feel good,” bringing upon the many benefits essential oils and plants provide. Early 2015, what began as a hobby of creating simple do-it-yourself skin care products from books I have on formulating. To expand my knowledge of proper essential oil dilutions, I began making my own toners, face washes, affirmation roll-ons, and room sprays with essential oils and herbs that work synergistically. Fast forward to a couple years back when I legitimized matters by gaining the following accredited certifications: Aromatherapy, organic skin formulating, Ayurvedic practitioner, and wellness educator. 

In 2020 I decided to start my own business, a lot of energy, time, and saving money went into investing in the vision. Greatest accomplishment was not giving up on the vision to share my wisdom with the community; I will continue educating people about the greatness behind alternative healing modalities. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wish I could say it has been a smooth road, some struggles I have faced since starting a business was standing up for what I believe in, owning my truth, staying rooted, sharing my knowledge with others. We live in a controversial era where people shop with their eyes, they want the latest shiny, flashy, uncensored item, or what celebrities advertise. With that understanding, I have had to make a wise decision to continue sharing my wisdom in a professional matter, thus not succumb to degrading nature of marketing my business through the lens of nudity, or provocative approaches, or false pretenses. The body & mind is a temple, and it should be treated as such. 

My approach has been to grasp the audience’s attention through educational content that informs and persuades one further to learn more about cleaner skin care products, cruelty-free, toxin-free, plant-based alternatives. This branches out into other aspects of life as well. For instance, through incorporating Ayurvedic principles that bring balance to the mind and body. This process has allowed me to follow and share my dharma of living more conscientiously through taking care of ourselves and the planet. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Mir Elixirs is a one-stop service, as many of my customers refer to it. From offering Ayurvedic consultations that promote well-being, addressing imbalances, pain management, restorative, rejuvenating, and regenerative treatments, all with the help of plant remedies, ayurvedic skincare, breathwork, mudra meditation, diet lifestyle changes, ayurvedic recipes, and eating according to the seasons. Aside from being a guide for others along their healing journey, I specialize in aromatherapy, herbalism, supplement wellness, Psychology, and, as mentioned, Ayurveda. My approach is simple: I genuinely enjoy helping others as long as they put effort into wanting to make changes in their lives. Nothing brings me greater joy than when a new client seeks support with embarking on a holistic journey. Patience goes a long way, and I have pocket fulls of it. After all, we all need a helping hand or two when we may feel lost and have had many failed attempts at addressing a health imbalance. Remember, the body is powerful enough to reverse any illness with the proper approach, as well as reframing our way of thinking into a positive outlook.
