Van Eaton Galleries is one of the world’s leading original animation art and collectibles galleries. The gallery is located in Sherman Oaks, California and specializes in unique original animation artwork as well as Disney and Disneyland memorabilia. Van Eaton Galleries has become known as the experts on Disney Memorabilia Auctions also. Established in 1994, the gallery offers distinct collections from the world of animation and special exhibits and events for collectors, fans and guests from around the globe. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Van Eaton Galleries has exhibited such collections as The Story of Disneyland, Collecting Disney, and The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss, and has offered animation artwork from studios such as Disney, Warner Bros., DreamWorks, Hanna-Barbera, Don Bluth and many others.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The art of collecting and the ability to bring joy to collectors through our widely successful Disneyland auctions is a remarkable road to travel. We have worked hard to give fans, customers and collectors an opportunity to own a piece of history, art or perhaps just a really special childhood memory. Most importantly is that we work very hard to research the provenance of each piece and also discuss the way it came about with those most close to it. It is sometimes a road that doesn’t move as fast as you like but it always ends up at a place with the results you were looking for. We deal with collectors from all over the world and as we have grown we never forget when we opened and how far we have come since then.
