Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Burns.
Mike, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Worked in Corp America for many years wasn’t happy and bored with my life left Corp world. In March of 2016, started a custom cycle. Same month, December of 2016 had a fire lost the shop and most of the Contents and was burned pretty bad. Trying to save my shop, rushed to the hospital then admitted to the burn ward where they did a couple of surgeries to repair my hands and arms. A few weeks in the hospital and then sent home to recover. A few months of recovery at home then it was time to start looking for a new building. Had a hard time finding a building and had made a decision that if I didn’t find a building I could afford by a certain date that I would just go back to Corp world and just chalk it as it wasn’t meant to be. The last day I gave myself to find a building, I found one, so for the next few weeks started sifting thru what was left from the fire and trying to replace what I could got the shop reopened. Had some amazing customers that waited for me to return to work wouldn’t take their bikes to anyone else. I have some amazing customers. My family and friends were there to support me in every way. My wife is my number one supporter; stood by my side thru everything and never left my side when I was in the hospital. Now, we are back up and running doing service maintenance customizing air suspension and big wheel baggers.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Honestly, nothing other than the fire part, everything I have done has made me who I am today.
