Today we’d like to introduce you to Miguel Angel Sanchez Hernandez.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
My friends called me “Mich”, I born in Mexico City and I’m 29 years old. I’m only child and I grew up with my family in Mexico. I consider myself charismatic, entrepreneur, friendly and overachiever. I spoke 4 languages Spanish (natal language) English, Italian and French. I came here in 2009 to study art animation and graphic design, I went to Mount San Antonio College (Walnut, CA) and I transferred to California State University of Fullerton in 2011. I graduate in 2015 with the Bachelors of Fine Arts in Art Animation and Graphic Design. After my graduation I decide to create my company called Design & Animation Studios Corp (dnastudiosorp) in which I create videos, photography, graphic art, and animation etc for Events, Businesses or Personal Branding. In my work I use different mediums like drones, 360 cameras etc. From last year to this year my company increase in the number of clients and I want to keep increasing. In the future I want to expand my company and work with big studios and productions such as Marvel, Sony, Disney, WB, Universal etc. I love sports and Art, my favorite hobby is going to the movies, drawing and play sports such as Soccer, snowboard, gym, swimming etc. I always try to maintain my life in a balance helping my clients and having time for myself, family and friends.
Please tell us about your art.
Everything is about the message. I always try to combine techniques and ideas to send a positive message to the public, I want people feel good and excited when they see my art.
One of my inspirations is when something bad or good happens to the world and I try to represent that moment in an image or drawing. For example the extinction of the white Rhino or earthquakes around the world etc.
Other of my inspirations are movies or cartoons. I like to draw movie characters, superheroes, etc. when I’m drawing a character I can create unlimited possibilities to create a story in one drawing.
If the work is for a client I have to hear their ideas and expectations first and then I say my ideas and how we can do it such as photography, videos, images, illustrations, graphic artwork etc. Sometimes the client are not clear about what they want and is where my creativity appears to help them with different possibilities.
Artists are problem solvers on these situations. We expands people minds and make them think out of the box.
I do different projects through the year. Such as videos, photography, graphic design, animation etc. I love this career because every single project is different.
I hope people find my work inspiring and show that everything is possible.
Everyone can create, they just need to discover their own creativity
What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
I think the conditions are great because we have more artists with better technology available to create better artwork and we can collaborate together to create great pieces.
I love to have competence because as an artist that helps to grow personally and professionally.
Los Angeles is the capital of entertainment and I love how this city helps artists doing galleries, expos, competitions etc
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
Nowadays technology is taking over this world. Social Media is one of the greatest ways to share art around the world.
My Artwork is available on Instagram and Facebook. For my business I have Instagram and Facebook as well and web page, people can book their projects and call me directly to talk about the job.
