Meet Mico Saad of i4 Productions in West

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mico Saad.

Mico, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born in Alexandria Egypt where it all begins, my Career in Art / Media & as they say History 🙂 .

At the age of six, I attended with my Parents a Performing Art Show at the Alexandria Opera House. I just fell in love with that type of Art and my dream at this age was to become an Artist who plays this type of Art.

By the age of eight, I joined Alexandria Troupe (The Most Prominent Performance Art Troupe in Alexandria). The Troupe performed regularly at the Alexandria Opera House. By the age of 12, I was awarded the “The Young Egyptian Talent in Performance Art Award”.

By the age of 19, I joined Reda Troupe (the most prominent Egyptian / Middle Eastern Performance Art Troupe). Reda Troupe performed regularly at Cairo Opera House as well as at Regional and International Operas Houses. The Troupe won Regional and International Awards.

At the age of 19, I was a Senior Art Performer and a Coach. I moved to London where I continued my Career in Performance Art. In collaboration with a group of Talented Performance Art Artists, I set up The Arabian Dance Theatre Company (ADT) in 2008. ADT achieved a great success and provided stage productions and was featured some of the most watched TV channels in Middle East such as: BBC Arabic & MBC. In 2009, I was appointed as the Entertainment Manager & Ambassador for All Performance Art Events hosted and organized by the Egyptian Embassy in United Kingdom. Alongside leading the Arabian Dance Theatre Company in London, I have decided to pursue a career in Film Acting. I have always had a passion for this career mostly inspired by the infamous Egyptian Hollywood Actor “Omar Al Sharif”.

Between 2011 and 2013, The most Prominent London Filming productions I was part of I would say: BBC 1 East Enders 2012; Comic Relief “Rick Gervais” aired on BBC 1 2013; Hello Carter Featured Film.

2013 was another amazing and unforgettable turn in my Art Career. I signed up with Al Ghad TV a for a TV Show known as “Oklat Mico ”. “Oklat Mico” was the first Reality Food & Culture TV Show in the Middle East and I was the TV Presenter and the producer alongside Haz Akkila the Executive producer. The Show covered Food and Culture as presented and offered by the Top International Cuisines at the Cosmopolitan City of London. Besides the Reality Side of the Show, the Show had A Comedy Twist and a Challenge to Myself “Person who knows nothing about Food and / or Kitchen” and who is in a Challenging Journey to become a Chef by the last Episode.

“Oklat Mico” success was overwhelming to us all the TEAM and making further season was inevitable.

In 2015, “Gawlat & Oklat Mico” was released following the success of “Oklat Mico Season 1,2” and my utter failure to become Chef.

This time the show was bit away from Kitchens and more to The Show was about Travel, Adventures to search for food destinations.

Galwat Mico is a reality Travel & Photography show. The Show was a mission to discover the world through the eyes of a Photographer, a Travel Blogger and a Tour Guide.

I go around take pictures and talk about them from historical and artistic point of view.

The production was made almost all over Europe and 6 Episodes were dedicated for California.

the last destination on my travel show was on the red carpet of the 90th Oscars (the Academy) in Hollywood

In the show, I also explored Nature which was a dream as my inspiration was and will forever come from the infamous BBC Broadcaster Sir Attenborough.

The show achieved an incredible success as its predecessors if not more, I love them all equally. Following these incredible experiences, the last destination on my travel show was on the red carpet of the 90th Oscars (the Academy) in Hollywood. I Was honored to be chosen by Dubai TV and to be the TV Host to Cover the British Film Award Festival (BAFAT) Red carpet.

By 2018, I genuinely prided myself on becoming a Well Grounded, Mature and All Rounded Media Professional in Art Performance, TV Presenting, Film Making & Production and Actor.

Few years before that, Hollywood was always calling, but I was keen to answer the call at the right time.

Although leaving London was by all means a heartbreaking decision, 2018 was the right time to answer the call and I made my way to Hollywood with one goal in mind “adding a Mico Star to Hollywood Stars List”.

So Far So Good and very optimistic.

For Cinema and Filmmaking, I Produced and Starred four short films.

My first (Jumper) with Egyptian American filmmaker /Actor Ayman Samman JUMPER was officially selected by the American Pavilion, Cannes Film Festival. A Winner of a Best Film Award at LA Independent Shorts Awards.

My Second was Al-Masry Life, a film that I wrote and directed along Sayed Badreya the Hollywood veteran actor /filmmaker.

Al-Masry Life is a Winner Best Cinematography by Paul Haggis at Chelsea Film Festival, Best Short Film Award at Action on Film Festival and Best Actor for Me at Hollywood Dreams Film Festival.

For TV Media, I starred Ten Hollywood Show. The Show focuses on the Arab Talents who came to Hollywood chasing dreams and became stars, like Mario Kassar the Producer of Rambo, Terminator and Stargate, Top model Elisa Sednoui, the seven times Emmy awards winner Egyptologist Ramy Romany and Talat Captan the owner of Air Hollywood.

The Show is the first of its kind for Middle East Audience and after great success, Ten Hollywood Season 2 will be aired beginning of October 2020, so stay tuned.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There is never a smooth sailing to success. Success is certain so long as there is perseverance and strong self-belief – this is what the story of the Greatest successful figures says I enjoyed all my struggle because it has always made me better and stronger.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am currently a Managing Partner at i4 Productions LLC which is located Hollywood Los Angeles, California. We are specialized in production and digital content.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I would like to start with God, my family and friends. There a lot of people who have helped me be the man and artist I am today and I am forever grateful for every one.
