Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Steven Bandzharian.
Hi Michael Steven, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up, watching my single mom show homes as an agent, I saw real estate as more than just a job. It was an experience, and a meaningful one, at that. I saw the looks on people’s faces when they knew a home was just not quite the one, as they quickly walked in and out. I also saw that special look when they had that gut feeling arise the very moment that they knew that they had found their home. I knew that I wanted to grow up and be the one to guide people to that feeling of pure alignment with a home that would become their very own. That is precisely what I did.
After attending college and completing my MBA while being a manager at Apple, I dived into the real estate world in the year 2007. I was ambitious to blend together my many years of business and leadership experience with my enthusiasm for being an agent. But not just another agent, by no means. I set out to be the agent that becomes like family in the sense of caring as much about my clients’ experiences as I would about my own if I were in their shoes.
Every touchpoint during the experience of buying or selling a home is an important one. I aimed to take the stress out of the process, replacing it with excitement, hope and empowerment. My high communication skills have a way of putting my clients at ease, knowing that I will answer each and every question, at any time, without ever making them feel bad for asking. It’s the little things that always become the big things. Knowing this and acting upon it professionally is what helped me build my group of loyal clients who refer me to their loved ones. Whether it has to do with buying, selling, leasing, land or investments, I’m here for it all. To this day, after all of these years, I am still just as driven but with much more experience in this field. Home really is where the heart is, and that’s why I’m here to ensure that the heart keeps on beating.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have come to realize that any goal is attainable. A clear intention, perseverance and a positive attitude are the three ingredients needed to overcome any obstacle or roadblock. Throughout my journey in Real Estate, there have been some obstacles that I had to overcome in order to show my clients and team #whatspossible.
I remember once selling a home that was completely burnt down to its very foundation. The only remaining structure on the property was the little guest house. The home had burned down during the Sand Canyon fire in 2016. After a couple of failed attempts at selling this property, a few agents thought that selling it would prove to be impossible. After all, who would buy a piece of land with just a foundation of a home left after such a terrible fire? When my client called me to help sell his home, I told him one thing: there is a buyer for everything in life. Our job is to help connect the dots. Within three months, I was able to sell his property at his asking price, surprising many. I still remember the picture we took together the day I delivered the keys to the buyer. It was in that moment that I realized, again, the importance of perseverance and surrounding yourself with positivity.
The market may be unpredictable and that I cannot control. What I can control is the experience and memory that I leave my clients with, regardless of what the market’s mood is that day.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
For starters, I have been in Real Estate since 2007. I earned my Real Estate Broker License in 2013. I am also an accomplished MBA in Management and Finance from Penn State. Due to my extensive leadership background, I pride myself in my abilities to offer excellent client experiences. I also merge my technological skills with Real Estate to offer a unique and dynamic marketing plan. For me, this is more than a job; it is an honor to be part of something that will have a lasting impact in your life. Buying or selling a property is just another transaction, but the experience is what I am all about. After all, for you it’s not just another transaction, it’s your life.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people don’t know that I bring one more extra gem for my clients. My wife, Tamara, has been doing interior decorating and designing for many years. She has that special eye that is required to see the bigger picture of what a home could look like. When none of us can see the vision, she can. From A to Z, she can transform any space. Clients have chosen to work with me, time and time again, because of their request for her unmatched skills and vision. I know, I know… I am one lucky man.
