Meet Michael of Coffee Gallery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael.

Michael, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Upon our first visit to Coffee Gallery, we fell in love with it. The shop was full of locals enjoying their morning coffee, and we were blown away with the charm that filled the atmosphere. We knew straight away that we wanted to invest in the business and we were determined to keep hold of the unique atmosphere that is much loved by locals and tourist alike.

When we took over the shop, there was some renovation needed, but we have kept many original features, so that still acts as a home from home for our loyal customers. We want the Coffee Gallery to be a welcoming place for modern coffee lovers as well as keeping its traditional charm.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like we have said, as we loved the feel of the Coffee Gallery but realized that we needed to spruce the place up and add a modern twist. We were worried that by making a few changes to the look of the shop that we would lose regular customers but we did a great job and we have people drinking coffee every day as they have been since the shop opened in 1997.

I guess you could say that things have been running smoothly (like our coffee!), but we are always open to feedback from our customers and make little tweaks along the way so that we can deliver great customer experience.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Coffee Gallery – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We feel that the Coffee Gallery is a landmark location in the Altadena area and we are so proud to serve our local community. It goes without saying that coffee is a big deal in LA, so we make sure that we always work with the best brands around. We partner with Counter Culture Coffee which means we serve up awesome coffee just how you like it. That is definite.

What we are especially proud of is our high-quality food menu that offers something for all tastes. Our breakfast bagels and Mexicali Breakfast Burritos are among our bestsellers and, again, we work with the best brands in the business when it comes to our deli sauces, ice-creams, and cakes. Whatever you choose to eat with us we ensure that we get it right every time.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We really love what we are doing, and it is great to see the Coffee Gallery full every day. We are always looking to improve our menu and use locally sourced products as that is very important to us.

Using high-quality ingredients that are both ethical and tasty is our focus for the year ahead as we want more and more foodies to come and visit our friendly coffee shop.

We are also looking to work with great partners, similar to the great brands we work with at the moment, such as Fosselman’s Icecream, Boar’s Head, and Duverger.
