I have always dreamt of owning my own business. I was not exactly sure what that business would be or how I would make it work but I knew I would be an entrepreneur someday. As a little girl, I would set up lemonade stands to make money so I could go shopping at the mall. Fast forward to being in a corporate career for 20 years and after many wonderful years, I was no longer happy with my career path. I knew it was time to ditch the corporate world and after a few months of soul searching and research Stunningly Staged Homes was born. I have always had a passion for design and helping friends and family with their homes. After a lot of research, reaching out to local realtors, and running numbers my husband and I decided to go for it. That is exactly what we did.
Once I set my mind on something, I stop at nothing to give it my best and get it done. I remember sitting in our family room writing a business plan, creating our business name, buying a domain name and then we were off to building a brand. A brand that many would come to support and love. What started with very little staging inventory in my garage, then turned into multiple storage units, next a 1200 sq. ft warehouse and now we are currently in a 2600 sq. ft warehouse with a design showroom. We have staged hundreds of homes in over 20 cities throughout Los Angeles. I started our business with staging being the biggest service line but it quickly turned into a full-service design company as well. Our staging clients loved our work so much that they started hiring us to design their new homes as well or they saw our work online and wanted that in their home. Our business is now equally scheduled with staging and design. We love it because they are very different yet so similar. Staging is designed for the masses of potential buyers while design is created personally for our clients to love.
Our team has grown but we are still a family operated business. My husband is our Vice President/my advice partner, my mom Debbie is our Operations Manager, my daughter Trinity is an amazing designer in training, and my son helps assist us in the warehouse.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Running a business comes with challenges and obstacles but also great rewards and amazing relationships with clients. I have 20 years experience of running a business so I had a good head start on the biz and client service side of things. However, I was new to the design and real estate world and I had a lot to learn. It took time to get to know people in the community and build relationships but once people gave me an opportunity, they were loyal clients. There have been many nights that I worked until 1am to get it all done, tears of frustration and tears of joy. Lots of time in training, studying, reading, making mistakes and continuing to move forward. There is a ton of stress behind any business but I think that one of my strengths is staying positive and always finding a solution. Staging and designing is not always as glamorous as it seems or is portrayed on tv. There is a lot of pressure when it comes to creating a dream home or marketing a home for sale. There are always a ton of moving parts and you have to remain flexible because there are always hiccups. I always tell my clients that it will be messy before it is beautiful. After all of the challenges and obstacles, I am the happiest when it is crazy busy and kinda hectic.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always curious, driven, determined, loyal, and hard-working. I played softball from a young age all the way through college. I was a pitcher, kind of the heart of the team. A leader. I learned more life skills on the field than I could have ever imagined. I love to spend time with family and friends. I am definitely a people person I get so much positive energy from my clients and family.
