Meet Matthew Nejad of Helm Nejad Stanley Dentistry in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Nejad.

Matthew, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Our practice has a long, rich history here at 9201 Sunset Blvd. Back in the 1950s, dentist to the stars and pioneer of modern-day veneers, Dr. Stanley Vogel, founded this practice treating many Hollywood stars, establishing the practice as “a show business practice” among the star crowd of Angelenos. Under Dr. Vogel’s wing, Dr. Mark Helm began practicing alongside Vogel in the 80s and 90s and took over the practice when Dr. Vogel retired, continuing the tradition of excellence in dentistry.

Keeping the tradition of setting industry trends in dentistry in more recent past, Dr. Helm partnered with top-ranked Doctors Matthew Nejad and Kyle Stanley, positioning themselves as one of the most elite dental practices in Los Angeles. Trained under world-renowned dentist, Pascal Magne, Dr. Nejad and Stanley are amongst the best and brightest in the field.

Dr. Stanley: I come from a dental family. My father and my brother are both dentists but I wanted to take my education to another level. I was always the artsy member of my family so I loved the fact that with dentistry I could incorporate both art and science. I am fascinated by technology and bringing in new techniques into our practice. By using these new technologies we can make the treatment easier and more enjoyable for our patients. We love to see our patients smile!

Nejad: Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a doctor and had a passion for science. As I got older I discovered I also had a passion for art and love working with my hands. It dawned on me one day that dentistry had the perfect balance of all of those things, and on top of that, I would have the opportunity

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Part of being at the forefront of dental technology and constantly striving to improve treatments comes with the occasional naysayer (usually older dentists set in their ways) in the community that is resistant to change for the better. It makes sense that said naysayers feel threatened and can’t accept the fact that their techniques and tools are outdated and below the new standard of care.
