Meet Mary Ann Jarvis of Breeze Window Tint in Long Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Ann Jarvis.

Thanks for sharing your story with us MaryAnn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started 25 years ago.

My brother had an auto shop where they did auto stereo, alarms, car phones and tint. I started to do the commercial tinting for him and liked doing it. He eventually went off into the web design business and I just started my own mobile window tint company at first, I took over his customers but we had an agreement that for 2 years I would give him 10% of his customer’s sales but that I would be promoting my new business through his customers.

My first vehicle was a postal jeep (with the steering wheel on the right side) and that got so much attention that my business grew right away. I have gone through 3 vehicles since I started.

My business grew from one referral to the next. I started doing a lot of tinting for glass companies, and construction companies.

Most of the glass and construction companies are still using me as a subcontractor for their jobs or are referring me 25 years later.

I enjoy working with new customers every day.

I think I have been successful for so many years because I realize that every day I must do my best because I have to impress a new boss every day. My customers are my bosses.

Most of the jobs I do, I do by myself. I rarely use others. It just takes me longer to do the job by myself but it does get done.

I do all kinds of window films jobs.

Window tinting has many uses. Some people use film for privacy /semi-privacy. Some use film for decorative uses. Some for safety/ security purposes. Some for protecting their windows from graffiti. Most use film for heat and glare reduction.

I am very happy with the decision to become a self-employed window tinter. It is a very tiring, laborious job, but the freedom to schedule on my own time is worth it.

Has it been a smooth road?
For me, it has been a smooth road.

In 25 years, I think I have only had 2 dissatisfied customers. That says a lot. But some people you just can’t please. Most all of my customers refer me to other customers.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
BREEZE WINDOW TINT

I specialize in all types of window film.

I do commercial * residential * and auto window film jobs.

I will tint whatever can be tinted.

I think the only thing that sets me apart from the other tinting companies is that I am a woman owner as well as a woman tinter.

I try to give all my customers the best price and I know that my prices are very fair from customer feedback. They tell me that my prices are too low sometimes.
