Meet Maryam Shepardson of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maryam Shepardson

Hi Maryam, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out as radio personnel back in 2010 and got into a mom-and-pop style online station and grew from there meeting other industry professionals and being introduced to a man name Eric Zuley who ended up my counselor guiding me along my journey and pushing me into the red-carpet scene interviewing and meeting celebrities’ artists all kinds of random talents. I later went on to further my career and get into college for broad casting. It was there that I was then mentored and introduced to working Industry professionals in the radio business including Jim Daniels of NBC Sports radio and Eliot Straite Micheal Jackson producer just to name a few of my mentors along the way.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely been a journey just staying motivated and having a good support system of people to push you and help you.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an radio personnel That is what I’m good at and know most about. I’m most proud of the journey just growing and learning from like minded people. What sets me apart I think it’s the way I came into the whole online radio scene it was always different I was kind of pushed into doing in person interviews learning basically as I go and growing along the way how to be that radio announcer that’s a little different from the average announcer. Most radio host don’t come up in the way in which I did so aggressively so it is somewhat a different approach on how it all came about.

What makes you happy?
