Meet Marquis Green of Infamousquisss in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquis Green.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all began during my first year of college in Florida in 2017. Out at lunch with my two best friends, we were thinking of a way to better ourselves financially after moving from New York to Florida a year before. At the time we had no ideas, but about a week later I took the initiative to research. While researching I came across the concept of dropshipping, it took me about a week to fully understand the ins and outs and about a month to actually take it to my guys with an idea of shoe dealing. Mikey & Dylan thought it was a good idea but they generally didn’t have the resources or time so they left the majority to me and they would follow my lead. So we went through some name changes a few times but ultimately used infamous(because as a teen I was very known on Long Island but When I matured I wasn’t proud of myself and the person I was back then so instead of famous I use infamous) and added my life long nickname Quis. Started growing on Instagram got connected with companies and it was off to the races…

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
To be honest, there hasn’t been many obstacles. I always seem to find a way, our biggest obstacle is and I’m sure it’s like this for other shoe dealers, is when a customer requests a certain shoe and is adamant on that shoe but we can’t get it in that time frame it sucks.

Please tell us about Infamousquisss.
I think more than anything we care for our customers. We are not in this to lose money but sometimes, particularly around holidays I just get in a giving mood, so our deals are huge, prices drop for most of the brands we sell, we get a volume of customers definitely I grew a lot on Instagram around Christmas time. But it’s that smile and the sweet texts I get from people who may not have ever owned a pair of Jordan’s or something before. That feeling is what I do it for.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Yeah, I would’ve started earlier lol.
