Meet Mark Thomas of MT Litho Print Services in Irvine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Thomas.

Mark, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
We’re 3rd generation in the printing and graphics business. My family members have been putting ink on paper for almost 100 years.

I fondly remember “going to work” with my dad in the 1960’s, when I was only 7 or 8 years old. I’d follow him through some of the biggest advertising agencies in Los Angeles as he stopped in to pick up print jobs. At one agency, they showed us the very first commercials for the little guy saying: “How’s about a Hawaiian Punch!” His litho shop did work for companies like Hunt’s, Lawry’s, and the Shrine Auditorium – so we always had plenty of Snak-Pak, catsup, seasoning salt, spices, and show & concert posters.

There are 75+ year of printing and graphics experience between the 3 of us in our office. We are not a copy shop or an online-based business. You get a real person answering your questions and needs for every job. We’ve set out to provide our customers with quality and unmatched service in an industry that has (to a very great extent) lost that approach.

Has it been a smooth road?
Downward price pressures, especially from web-based printing and graphics outfits. They lack the personalized service that so many of our customers appreciate and are willing to pay a little more to get.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We offer:

– Graphic design services
– Marketing services
– Mailing and fulfillment services
– Offset printing (short and long run)
– Digital printing, including variable data & image printing and personalization
– Large format
– Silk screening, direct to garment printing and embroidery

Items we print, include: business cards, stationery, brochures, posters, catalogs, photo books, postcards, labels, folders, custom packaging, shirts, hats, promotional items, auto wraps and much more. We are also in the process of evaluating the addition of 3D print services.

What sets us apart from the others is what we’re most proud of – building relationships with our customers and going out of our way to meet their needs.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think our business can really work anywhere… If you’re able to meet the customers’ needs, AND make them want to come back to you.
