Meet Marina Lluch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marina Lluch.

Marina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Storytelling has been the only constant in my life. I was an athlete for a long time and I also enjoy multiple other things. Later in life, I realized that photography was the most authentic way for me to tell the stories I need. life is made out of stories, our stories as well as other peoples.

I want to be able to use my photography as a tool to help other people tell their own stories. I’m currently a student at Art Center College of Design trying to get my degree in photography.

That’s really great, storytelling through photography can be really powerful. Has it been relatively smooth road so far? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There are always struggles along the way. life is made out of experiences and obstacles. some harder and some easier. photography has been a rollercoaster of emotions, its a love and hate relationship for me but I have always understood that even at my hardest moments with it, photography is a duty I need to do. its a part of me that I need to be able to produce regardless of my emotions.

What else should we know?
I’m an avid lover of a documentary photographer. my goal is to document the world as it is and let other see the things that might be trivial to others. to be able to point out the beauty and the stories on our every day lives.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is to be free and feel free. to be able to follow your passion without worrying about the outcome is true success to me.
