Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Felipe.
Before she was an author and a minister, Maria was an actress, a model, and a TV host with a fabulous French boyfriend. She appeared in national commercials, was the first ever Latina boxing announcer, and interviewed World Wrestling Federation competitors in front of audiences of twenty thousand people. People Magazine in Español even referred to her as “Una Campeona Sin rival,” which means a champion without rival. But through it all, she felt insecure, unworthy, and downright miserable.
All that began to change when she began to study a book called A Course in Miracles (ACIM), and eventually went on to get her ministerial certificate from an ACIM school known as Pathways of Light. “This self-study spiritual thought system helps students develop a relationship with the ‘internal teacher’ it calls the Holy Spirit, which in turn helps us change how we see the world on a daily basis,” writes Maria. “This ‘shift in perception’ is what ACIM calls a miracle.”
Soon after, Maria became an international speaker of Happiness!
In 2016, after writing a post on FB just for fun, she was approached by a book agent interested in helping her publish a book. Maria suffers from dyslexia and doesn’t like to read or write. She did not have any interest in writing a book.
After much persistence from the agent and the universe. Maria wrote a book proposal for Live Your Happy and got a book deal with New World Library in Feb2016 book launched April 2017 as a best-seller in 4 categories on Amazon.
Last year, she got married and expecting a child April 2018.
Has it been a smooth road?
Being an actress for so long, struggling and not very happy. When this new calling came into my life of being a motivational speaker. I declared it would be fun and that it would not define me.
It’s been overall smooth as I continued to trust and not manipulate or try to make things happen. Rather do. I allow it to be done through. Struggle only comes when I make things matter and try to control. The more I let go, the more flow there is…
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Live Your Happy story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a Motivational speaker and Author.
I specialize in helping people be happy no matter what may be going in their world. I emphasize the practice of helping people quiet their mind to better hear their Inner Guidance, and in the process, strengthen their connection with the love within. I create a warm, supportive, open atmosphere where people can feel comfortable to explore and share insights.
I am most proud of how my book is changing lives!
What sets me apart is that I come from the heart and not the intellect. I empower people by having them recognize happiness is not outside them. The car, trophy etc…
Happiness is our divine right. You have everything and lack nothing.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
There is so much crazy stuff going on in the world that people are looking for a way out of the madness.
More and more people are waking up to their divine inheritance (which is happiness, that is always accessible). Coaching and self-development will become main-stream trends and not niche markets.
Also, if you look at mega-trends like artificial intelligence and automation in general will help humanity to escape from the daily to-dos and get more into a state of BEING.
