Meet Marcia Deneszczuk of Touch Of Zuk in South LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcia Deneszczuk.

Marcia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Makeup artistry has never just been a profession for me. It’s always been a passion. For the past 7 years, I’ve been workings non stop with major fashion shows organizations. I’ve also worked with an extensive list of Successful Designers, photographers, artists, influencers and celebrities.

I went from being a regular Makeup Artist to being a Beauty Director at Society Unici and Papillon Social putting together big productions/fashion shows every month.

I was also the Makeup Lead for LAFW this season where I brought my amazing team of 8 Makeup Artists.

As a Makeup Lead for LAFW, I decided together with every designer the perfect makeup look to compliment their collections and the results were amazing! Dream come true moment in my career so far was when I was asked to put together a Fashion Show for Roberto Cavalli here in LA.

I have always been told that the fastest way to a happy life is to turn what you love must into a career. So, here I am. I can’t think of anything else in the world I would rather be doing.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’m always pushing myself to try and do new things. A comfort zone is the most dangerous area anyone can stay in. If you want to grow you have to be willing to stay positive during “challenging” times and to believe in yourself.

Follow your dreams, believe in yourself and don’t give up.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Touch Of Zuk story. Tell us more about the business.
The name of my business in Touch Of Zuk. I put together big fashion shows every month.

What sets me apart from others is the ability of not only taking care on Beauty Team but actually bring in new talented designers and introducing them to this amazing fashion world putting together a whole show with all they need in a very short period of time.

I’ll do castings, I’ll choose/advise them on hair and makeup look and I’ll coordinate the whole team the day of the event.

I see myself as a fashion producer I would say. I’m very organized, I’m able to make decisions quickly and communicate effectively and have a huge love for fashion.

Every month is a new adventure with amazing new experiences.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I would say it’s not about luck but the amount of work and passion you put into your work that makes you different from your “competitors”.

I believe 100% I’m very good at what I do and I commit completely to the project I’m working on every single month.

Don’t wish for it! Work for it!
