Meet Manoucheca Duchatelier

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manoucheca Duchatelier.

Hi Manoucheca, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up, I struggled with self-esteem and confidence. Mainly because of my “untraditional beauty” and struggles with my weight. As I got older, I developed a genuine love for myself and who I am as I am. I became determined to help young girls and women by applying makeup for them and sharing my story. I received positive feedback and so many personal testimonies. I also found calmness and quickly realized that applying makeup was therapeutic. One day, my sister and a close friend said, “Nou, you need to make this official.” I thought about it for some time and finally mustarded enough courage to start Nou Faces, LLC. My goal is to continue to help women of all ages, physical appearance, and backgrounds improve their self-love, self-confidence, and self-worth.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My first year in business, I encountered many challenges. Two of my biggest challenges were funding my own business financially and creating a client base from scratch.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My first profession is in the healthcare industry. I am a full-time Registered Nurse (RN). I have worked with all types of patients. My profession helps me understand my clients. I am able to read body language and adjust accordingly. Teaching clients and sharing makeup tips and tricks comes naturally to me because patient teaching is part of my responsibilities as a nurse. I am known as the eyebrow specialist. I love constructing eyebrows and applying eyelashes. My love for natural beauty sets me apart from others. My favorite Nou Faces, LLC service is Nude and Soft Glam. I believe we are all beautiful and my goal is to enhance the beauty already there. I also believe my professionalism sets me apart from others. My clients will confirm that I am policy-driven and very fair.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Absolutely! We are all a product of grace and living on borrowed time. I encourage my clients to love and appreciate themselves and others.
