Today we’d like to introduce you to Dorothea Barth-Jörgensen.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Dorothea. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in Sweden in a little anthroposophical town nearby Stockholm. I had a deep longing in my heart to know the truth “the essence of our being”. I explored truth through different expressions through art; acting, painting and photography.
I got discovered as a model when I was 16 years old and Moved to New York at 17. I was working in the fashion industry for ten years. Learning about humans, and the lack we feel within, all the projections and longings for happiness. I started go deeper, still exploring photography and art. But I also reconnected to my hearts longing to help others to reconnect to their essence, the one of pure peace, love, and a sense of home and belonging.
Modeling brought me so much freedom and abundance to travel the world and deepen my love for truth. I had the opportunity to explore many healing modalities; including the art of Sound Healing, plant medicine, shamanic work, & adviata/vedanta non-duality self-inquiry. One day in deep meditation I got the message to work with the language of light, the universal language that bypasses the mind communicates with the emotional /spiritual field. It got clear to me that I was meant to share the language of light via alchemy crystal bowls, and my voice to channel higher frequencies from the cosmic intelligence. The non dual love.
I moved to Los Angeles two years ago to have a home base that was closer to nature and the ocean. Met the love of my life and now doing sound journeys around the world, but mostly in LA where I’m now based.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a beautiful journey, but also a lot of healing and letting go of patterns and belief systems. It has required and honesty with self and others. I came to a point where I could not force myself to anything that was not in line with the highest truth. And at moments it let people down because I could not play the game any longer. I had many deep dives into the questioning of self and the choices to make. Fully contemplating and being committed to truth more so than anything else. Making sure the choices and pursuits is coming from love and not fear. I also retreated from the fashion business for a while to heal, and become free from the projections, and the mold of external perfection. I recently did a sound journey at my agency in New York. It was one of the most beautiful experiences, because it all came back full circle, sharing the love of truth. I love to hold space for people to reconnect with themselves are their deeper longings and values.
Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about your work?
I started a healing business called Lyshealing.com I hold sound journeys at different events, yoga studios and sacred spaces. I am inspired to share the message of love and harmony through crystal sound bowls and my own voice. I create a nurturing and healing space for friends to sink into their own innate wisdom. I invite friends to awaken the power of their own unique souls. I also hold private sound sessions for clients that want to dive deeper. The private sessions include a sound journey and an intuitive reading of the soul.
High frequency sounds clear the energy body and work on any reluctant stagnations within the physical body; as well as any limiting beliefs residing in the body mind. The sacred sound journeys is an opportunity for one’s true nature to be explored via intuitive sound codes that is received from spirit and inspired by the present moment, and the collective consciousness in the space. The sound experience is an invitation for the guests to reach a deeper equilibrium, to feel a sense of coming home into their heart, and to receive any hidden gifts from their subconscious that is ready to make itself known.
I intuit that healing comes from knowing yourself in your essence, in your sacred I, the untouchable infinite space deeply within your heart. In the core of your own being you are safe anywhere and capable of miracles.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m building up community slowly with like-hearted beings. I want to create a beautiful space somewhere in the world, where I can gather leading authentic voices in both healing, arts and consciousness. Meet and celebrate life together and also share the different paths, knowings, and expressions with each other. I want to hold space for true empowerment, the one of the soul. I am sensing the new “reality” one of heightened love, compassion, and harmony is anchoring slowly. I want to nurture that and be of service to the whole of humanity. I know its a big task, and I also know it truly starts within. The change lies in the heart of our being. Its many ways to rome, but one that always works is the path of the heart. It can’t lie, it can be eclipsed and confused but in the essence is whole, full and luminous.
