Meet Luke Cuccia of Eagle Creek Ranch Recovery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luke Cuccia

Hi Luke, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am co founder of Eagle Creek Ranch Recovery in Boise Idaho. I have worked in the industry since 2014. This work is very important to me as I am a sober alcoholic and have a great passion for helping other men to find their way out alcoholism and addiction through living a sober and healthy life. I struggled for a long time and nothing fulfills me more than being able to pay it forward today. I grew up in Southern California and lived in Los Angeles for about 15 years. I am a huge LA Dodger fan, this goes back 3 generations in my family starting with my grandfather. I dj at music festivals from time to time, I am playing at Nocturnal Wonderland in September. We also volunteer at a clean and sober tent called “Consciousness Group” that provides a safe space for sober attendees at these music festivals.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has def had some twists and turns. Struggling to identify my alcoholism was a big road block for a long time. I always believed that I could outsmart this thing, and I proved to my self time and time again that this was not the case, yet I still tried over and over to drink and use without the consequences. Once I realized that the main problem of the alcoholic centers in our mind, I was able to start to recover. I had to change my perception of the world around me and stop being so focused on myself, my plans and what I thought should happen. To become more connected with what the universe as a whole need from me to help facilitate a plan created by something far greater than myself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have had many people help me along the way, my business partner Andrew Maloof who I consider a brother. my dear friends Patt Ochoa and Cheyenne O’Dea for always being there and offering me great advice and counsel. My first mentor Rodney Robinson who gave me my first opportunity to work in this field, and my first boss Vito Tassone who showed me how to navigate this field.

My parents Buzz and Juli for never giving up on me, my fiance Marlee for standing by me no matter what. And for God for always pushing me in the right direction even if I couldn’t see it at the time.
