Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis De Luna.
Luis, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started to tinker with IT and computers from back in high school. Way before the mobile app craze, social media craze, the data craze and all those recent crazes were going through. Back in 2005-2006 I was messing around with Google analytics and black hat (did not know it was black hat back then) SEO. Back then it was the Wild Wild West of SEO, anyone with the right combination of content could rank for keywords. I started a Restaurant website design company called DTI and actually ranked for BIG keywords like “restaurant web design” my site was listed in top 50k sites in Alexa. Business was good and that was the beginning of my journey into Digital Marketing.
From there I started deviating from my primary business (my bread and butter). Got into Events and event promotion. After a few successes and failures, I realized the events promotion business was not for me. After going through a very tough recession, I ended up closing my office, and had to let go my 5 employees, which was a very depressing time for me.
After a few months of not doing much, I enrolled in the CSUF IT program and also got a minor in Marketing and graduated back in 2010. During that time, I was getting more and more into Analytics and Data, but I was always distracted, with other side ventures.
After working for many companies in their Digital Marketing and IT departments I decided to launch my business January 2017 – Networking Bizz, which was actually an idea born back in 2011, I through of a company that would not focus on delivering one time services (a web design, programming project) but would actually partner with companies and strategically deliver sales results – as an internal Digital Marketing Department. And here we are today, company is in its infancy but we have a plan and a vision.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As an entrepreneur there are a ton of challenges and roadblocks in your road. I have had failed businesses, where no sales or income flows into the company, I’ve had to face my employees to cut hours. I remember I was living at my office for a few months because I could not afford an apartment, I remember having to eat McDonalds dollar menu day after day because my account was borderline on the RED. It’s been a very hard road. The road has not been easy. But I feel like if the company becomes a success, it will be much sweet to savor the accomplishments.

Networking Bizz Digital Marketing is a full service Digital Marketing Agency. We provide Web IT solutions for Small-Large companies.
