Louiza, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
As a young girl from a small Siberian town in Russia, I never dreamed I would have the opportunity to come to America, let alone live here. Towards the end of the 90’s, I had an opportunity to come to America as a journalist to cover the amazing Halloween events and parades in New York City.
I immediately fell in love with this country and knew my life would be reborn here. After living in New York for a few years covering fashion events, I decided to move to Los Angels where I could continue my Fashion interests and combine them with my love for entertainment and living a healthy lifestyle. The rest they say is History!
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Although I was a successful oil paint artist back in Russia, my true love was to write about and inspire art through fashion. I have met many wonderful and inspirational fashion designers, each with their own special way of expressing themselves which I find fascinating and a pleasure to write about. Today I express my art through my words.
The stereotype of a starving artist scares away many potentially talented artists from pursuing art – any advice or thoughts about how to deal with the financial concerns an aspiring artist might be concerned about?
This is the hard part. You really need to love what you do and not do it for the money (but it’s nice to dream about a big paycheck one day for all your hard work). I am still a struggling artist trying to turn this into a full-time career, however, I take each day one at a time. I am very proud of the work I have done and in my mind, I am already am successful.

I find this to be the best platform for me to connect with my following through my pictures. My photos include promotional work I do for specific products I love for my Lifestyle. Also, there are fun photos of myself that express my mood for the day, which is always upbeat and happy.
