Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizzie Rose.
Lizzie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a young adult, I experienced this really foreign but amazing feeling of peace and centeredness during a yoga class. I had become accustomed to being dissatisfied by life, unhappy, anxious, depressed – – always striving to achieve something in order to feel some kind of satisfaction. But this new, peaceful feeling I had discovered felt so good that I explored it as much as I could. From meditation and chakras to psychic communication and angels, I read and discussed and learned with fervor and intensity. I was fascinated and so excited about the idea that life could feel good and we could heal ourselves naturally – that it was our birthright to have an amazing and fulfilling life!
I became certified as a level 1 Reiki Practitioner in 2011, and received my Master-Teacher certification in 2013. It has been a very organic process becoming the healer I am today. With each year I have practiced more, learned more modalities, read more, and developed more in every way. Some of it has been painful as old patterns are released, and some of it has been blissful. But it has all been transformative and has helped me do really good and effective work in the world. I get to help people find their confidence, their power, their purpose, their joy, and their peace. What could be better than that?
In 2016 and when I began my exploration of the Divine Feminine, I found a whole new way to approach healing and teaching. I started leading women’s groups and all my work jumped up to the next level, as I found I was able to bring healing in a whole new way, with new depth and effectiveness, in a really relatable way. I began to see real lasting change in my own life and the lives of my clients at a level I hadn’t experienced before. It has been really humbling and empowering at the same time, and I feel so lucky to get to do what I do.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In a way, it hasn’t been smooth because there were always steps forward and steps backwards, and times when I stood still for a while. But it was really all leading to where I am now, so looking back, it seems smoother and more purposeful than it felt in the moment. I understand why the bumps were there – usually it was to learn a lesson so well that I wouldn’t have to keep learning it over and over – so that I could really move forward. And the more bumps I met in the road, the better I learned how to navigate them, so bumps don’t feel so disruptive now. They’re just part of the landscape.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Magic is Real – what should we know?
Magic is Real is all about bringing magic into our lives, and there are several different ways that happens.
I work as an Energy Healer one-on-one with clients to navigate the mysteries of life. We work with things like depression, anxiety, dissatisfaction, feeling like an outsider, finding purpose, joy, confidence, self-love, freedom, and breaking through to the next level of living a life you love.
I also guide women’s groups and teach classes and courses both in-person and online. I teach everything from the basics of chakras and energy, to moon manifestation and boundaries, to oracle cards and channeling, to the divine masculine and feminine. I teach Reiki and Energy Healing, and I lead women in transformative circles and groups to find their power and feminine essence while creating a sense of sisterhood often missing from everyday life.
What makes this work unique is that I get to bring the magical and esoteric together with practical steps to create holistic change. I stand by my personalized small-steps approach to healing and learning because I see it work time after time. I like working interactively with each person to find out how they feel most loved and nurtured. Starting from that place, we use small, effective steps for steady growth that create lasting transformation in your life.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
It really does take a village! I studied for the last 3 years with CC Treadway of Treadway Esoteric, and that course of study has been integral in taking my work deeper and growing a thriving business from the heart. Tristan Coopersmith is the founder of Life Lab in Hermosa Beach, and she gets excited about all the things I love to teach, and provides a beautiful space to offer this work to the women of the South Bay. And I couldn’t be doing any of this without the support of friends and colleagues who are traveling similar paths. It is a lonely road to travel alone, and I’m so grateful I don’t have to!
And of course, I owe so much to the clients I have met along the way who are ready and willing to trust me with their vulnerability and do amazing work together.
