Meet Lindsay Longacre of LVL Weddings & Events in Costa Mesa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Longacre.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lindsay. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
A Midwest girl at heart, I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and moved California in 2007. I was raised by a mom who had an entrepreneurial spirit and that is where my inspiration came from to start my own company. I call it creating my own destiny. While working part time for a wedding planner, I realized this was my calling. I loved being around people and making deep connections in a celebratory way. What a better fit then helping someone plan the most important day of their life. I moved to California in 2007 and started my company. I didn’t have any money to start the business so I bartended and cleaned houses to support myself while I got LVL up and running. 1 one lead to 5 weddings, then 5 weddings lead to 10 weddings….We have now been in business for 10 years and produced about 140 wedding a year and our team grew from just me to 24 employees. Though I still do weddings I also find so much joy leading a successful team of amazing woman and always raising the bar in the wedding industry.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The struggles and challenges of running a small business were like my own Master’s degree in business. I have learned so much about myself and all the aspects of running a company from HR to finances to the legal aspects. I think the key is to take every challenge and turn it into a positive and that is the trick of keeping a successful business going.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with LVL Weddings & Events – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
LVL is a wedding & event planning company. We specialize in planning couples weddings. I think the one aspect that sets us apart is that we have also develop the LVL Method which is a system to how we plan weddings. We take our job seriously and want to ensure every client has the same high quality customer service experience so we decided to create our own method that each of our planners follow. In an industry that is not regulated and standards are set low we really strive to raise the bar and not only create perfect weddings for our couples but inspire other planners out there as well.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We plan to continue to elevate our brand and focus on couples looking for full planning in the luxury market.
