Meet Lindsay Burke of Bronzed Bella Organic Spray Tan in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Burke.

Growing up in New York with a majority of the year spent in scarves, snow boots & sporting that snow white skin tone, Lindsay had enough of the frigid climates. Following her college graduation, she packed her bags and headed west. After a few years confirming her love for the west coast & the year-round sunshine, it was also time for her to confirm a much needed career change when Bronzed Bella was born. Leaving the corporate world to start a business that would not only empower women like her but also offer a confidence boosting & healthier alternative to tanning became an entrepreneur dream come true for her.

Through the first year developing her technique, Lindsay was able to tap into her artsy side realizing that spray tanning was more than just a bad stereotype but rather an art that could be perfected and admired. With a background in customer service and hospitality, it was an opportunity to provide not only stand-out results in a drowned market, like Los Angeles where Bronzed Bella was born, but to provide the most exceptional service to all of her clients, from A-listers to glowing brides.

Lindsay started Bronzed Bella in 2010 in Los Angeles & has since expanded to Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ & Boston, MA. The most gratifying part of the business for her is hearing her clients thank her for making them feel beautiful and confident again.

Has it been a smooth road?
It was definitely not an easy road at times. From the beginning, trying to juggle it as a part time job while working a full time corporate job while it got off the ground running to being a mobile business in a traffic heavy & populated city, there were many times I thought “is this worth it?” From trying to train others to want to grow with the business with the same passion as myself to long days as one person trying to do the work of several people, it was sometimes hard to silence the critics who always said “it’s such a drowned market… the beauty market in LA… good luck” but I knew silencing them would be the key to success. And, it was.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Bronzed Bella Organic Spray Tan story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a completely mobile & organic spray tan company who services clients in the comfort of their homes providing them with a safe & sunless glow for a special event or just because. We pride ourselves in 100% organic, certified vegan & cruelty free products. I’m most proud of our loyal client base & our reviews but also our work featured on the red carpet, print & billboard. What sets us apart from others is our professionalism & elevated level of service on top of the better half of a decade providing service in LA & now Phoenix, Denver & Boston.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I think our industry is going to continue advancing its organic product awareness as well as solution offerings i.e. solutions being offered with a larger range of organic elements from nature, solutions that can be warmed & rapid solutions that are natural from an ingredient & aesthetic standpoint.

I envision continuing to expand the business into more cities as well as continue training young entrepreneurs to learn how to start & grow a business.
