Lily, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I opened Happy Isles in September of 2016 as a destination for luxury vintage with a bridal edit in mind. Before starting the shop, I worked for years in the vintage world, and then went on to become an event producer in the fashion industry. The salon is a happy marriage of my passion for vintage and my love for hosting and creating spaces.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting a business is an emotional roller coaster. There will always be bumps along the road, but when you’re doing something you love the struggle is always worth it!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Happy Isles – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
At Happy Isles, we carry a curated selection of luxury vintage gowns, with a heavy focus on vintage bridal. We carry standout pieces from the 50’s-90’s for wedding, wedding weekend, red carpet, galas, and more.
Our selection also includes vintage costume jewelry, made-in-LA crowns & hair accessories, as well as a wide array of veils.
We’re known for the immaculate condition of our vintage pieces, and for our finely-tuned selection.
