Meet Lillian Jacobs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lillian Jacobs.

Hi Lillian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! I’m an Ayurvedic Health Coach, Hormone Health Coach and yoga teacher. My journey to where I am today began with a long list of health challenges as a child. Growing up in LA we were fortunate enough to have exposure to holistic treatments (even back in the 80’s and 90’s!), so I was healed through a clean whole foods diet, heavy metal detoxes, breathing exercises and yoga.  That is when the seed was planted for my career in holistic health and I’m grateful for that every damn day.

Then in my early 20’s I decided to become a yoga teacher and I learned about Ayurveda (the sister science to yoga) in the yoga teacher training I was in.  To say I was hooked was an understatement! I learned so much about myself, the world around me and how to take care of myself through Ayurveda.  I decided that this information was too empowering to keep to myself. I wanted to share all that I was learning about health and wellness with others. I enrolled in Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s Holistic Health Coach Certification program to being to share this with others. After that program, I decided I wanted to dive even deeper into one modality so I enrolled in an Ayurvedic Health Coaching program and have never looked back.

In 2020 as the world was rocked, I decided it was the time to jump all in on teaching others how to take care of their health holistically. I launched my personal Ayurvedic Health Coaching practice and have been working as an Ayurvedic Health Coach ever since. I offer 1on1 Ayurvedic Health Coaching to anyone who is interested in using Ayurveda to better understand themselves and optimize their health. I also lead 3/seasonal Ayurvedic cleanses which is an empowering way to practice Ayurveda and bring your body into balance during the transition of the seasons. Additionally, I teach yoga in Los Angeles where I weave lessons about Ayurveda and taking care of yourself into the asana practice.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Smooth, no! Struggles for sure.

Patience is the biggest struggle for me as an entrepreneur is trusting that success doesn’t happen overnight. I’m constantly trying new avenues of reaching clients, new collaborations, adjusting my offerings, sending emails, posting on social media, etc. It takes a lot of work and the rewards don’t always present themselves immediately. It can be really disheartening when things fizzle out or just plain don’t work. I keep reminding myself that as entrepreneurs we’re constantly planting seeds and allowing seeds to grow into big beautiful flowers takes time and patience.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an Ayurvedic Health Coach and Women’s Hormone Health Coach. I help individuals, mainly women, balance the root causes of their health imbalances using ancient ayurvedic wisdom. Ayurveda uses diet and lifestyle practices (meditation, yoga, breathwork, aromatherapy, exercise, etc.) to balance the individual.

As a women’s hormone health coach I weave Ayurvedic wisdom on hormone balance with a western medical understanding of hormones to help the individual balance the root cause of their hormonal imbalance. I also support women when they come off of hormonal birth control through diet and lifestyle strategies to help their body detox the synthetic hormones and rebalance their body naturally.

I’m most proud of my cleanses! I offer seasonal Ayurvedic cleanses (in the fall, spring & January) and a 21-day birth control detox. These group programs have been growing steadily over the past few years and the results that participants see are so incredible! They remind me of why I do what I do.

What sets me apart from others is that I’m relatable as a health coach. I’m 35, living in Los Angeles and deal with most of the struggles that my clients deal with. When you work with me, you gain a teammate, coach and friend.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The most important characteristic of my success is practicing what I preach. Everything that I teach, I’ve both learned in my studies and then practiced in my own body. I can relate to what my clients are going through — the struggles and the successes — because I’m experiencing them too.
