Leyla, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Opened a small cafe in 2011 together with my family as we started to get popular moved to a bigger and better location in the heart of downtown Santa Monica and been there since 2014.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were a lot of challenges starting the business, construction was challenging and as well as putting everything together, after 3 years when we had to move to a new location – everything started again – construction, the move.
We tried to close the old location and open the new one the next day, so it was a lot of work.

We are very popular for our delicious brunch! Very popular on Instagram since we have very colorful and picture-perfect interior + food.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Hard work for years without any rest, never giving up.
