So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I noticed the gap between functional and quality activewear/sportswear and looking stylish at the same time. I always found it difficult shopping for workout gear, choosing between supportive sports bras and leggings that would stay fitted correctly on my body, or buying cute workout clothes that didn’t last one wash. I realized it didn’t have to be one or the other and wanted to create a brand that combined fashion, comfort, quality & functionality.
The name, Body Love Athletica, came instantly to me when I knew I wanted to create a community and brand that empowered women to love their bodies and make a conscious effort to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely, not. Everyday is a challenge, one after the other. Finding ways to grow and keeping moving forward is a constant daily challenge.
I find that everyday is a learning experience and no matter where you are on your entrepreneurial journey, there is always so much to learn from.
It is so important to stay positive and keep going and hustling every single day.

Body Love Athletica is a brand driven by a vision to give women fashionable, yet durable pieces that will satiate her desire to keep up with the industry’s most spontaneous trends.
Our team combines technology performance fabrics to design products that will support and perform with you.
I specialize in the design & creative process. Everywhere from choosing fabrics, sketching, creating samples to styling our photoshoots. However, I get to touch all aspects of the business as well.
BLA is known for unique designs and quality pieces without overspending. We never comprise style for quality.
I am most proud of the companies growth over the last couple of years.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I’d say I’ve had good luck and bad luck for sure, however, I don’t really focus on “luck”, rather more on hard work and patience.
I’ve been lucky enough to have so many amazing mentors and a great support system that has pushed me and kept me going.
