Meet Lennon Gabriel of Tits ‘n All in Venice

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lennon Gabriel.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lennon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am the designer and founder of Tits ’n All.

I always knew I wanted to work in the fashion industry. I recently came across my 5th-grade yearbook while cleaning out my studio and found the question: Where do you want to be in ten years? My answer: Studying fashion in New York. A very specific answer for an eleven years old, but ten years later I was indeed living in Chelsea, studying fashion design and communications at Parsons.

I started working in the industry when I was sixteen as an intern for an up and coming costume designer. Her career was blowing up, so she frequently had multiple overlapping jobs. She would have me oversee the smaller jobs – music videos and such. Working on these various jobs, I made connections that led me to explore the more editorial side of things.

And that’s how I became a stylist. I took a gap year after high school to pursue this path but ultimately decided that getting an education was more important in the long run, which is how I ended up at Parsons.

The summer after freshman year, I was back in LA — jobless and bored. I was doing a lot of online window shopping, as one does when they have nothing better to do. As I traveled down the online shopping wormhole, I found myself browsing through various lingerie stores – beautiful items that were entirely unaffordable. So, I decided to make my own versions. I couldn’t sew yet, so I literally used a hot glue gun and glued my first bra together. I posted a photo of myself wearing my new creation on Instagram and received a surprising amount of attention.

When my South African mom saw the photo she asked, “Why are you showing off your tits ’n all?!”

Tits ’n All was born.

I have found that the silver lining of quarantine has been that I’ve finally been able to dedicate all of my time to my brand. I’ve taught myself how to sew, designed a new range and have been working on new design collaborations with multiple influencers.

I put in hard work and dedication into building my brand and I am looking forward to continuing to grow as a designer and entrepreneur. I am excited for people to see more from Tits ’n All.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I started Tits ‘n All with the idea that starting a clothing brand could replace the need for a summer job. After meeting with a manufacturer, I quickly learned that nothing in the fashion industry happens overnight. I’ve spent years reworking my brand, discovering my voice and developing a unique aesthetic. After nearly four years of trial error and many many brand adjustments, I feel like Tits ‘n All has finally found it’s place.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Tits ‘n All – what should we know?
Tits ’n All is a consciously-minded lingerie and loungewear brand based in Los Angeles. Everything is 100% handmade to order to avoid any excess waste. 10% of all profits are donated to TheLoveland Foundation. With our cheeky and occasionally provocative designs, Tits ’n All seeks to empower women and encourage them to make their voices heard.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I find that patience and dedication are the most important qualities when it comes to starting a business. Although, and especially in 2020, we’ve been programmed to expect instant gratification, I’ve had to accept that it’s a slow burn. It’s difficult and occasionally discouraging when seeing all of these small companies blow up on social media and having to stay confident that in time, my company will get that same response if I stick with it and commit all of my time and energy – even when I feel like it’s taking too long.
