Today we’d like to introduce you to Leigh Koechner.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Leigh. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My story started when I was seven years old. I knew my mother normally didn’t answer the door when I knocked, but you see I was seven years old and had just gotten in a first fight. I run to her room banging on her door trying to catch my breath from crying so hard. I thought for sure this time she would open the door. She didn’t. I walked to the bathroom to wipe the tears, snot and blood off my face and as I looked at myself in the mirror, I created the thought ” I’m not even good enough for my own mother to get out of bed.” I felt completely unworthy and I lived that unworthy story until I was 30 years old. I drank, I partied and ran so fast that I couldn’t feel. At 30 years old I met my husband and love began my healing. From that moment I have been curious about life and opening my mind and heart more every day. I ran my ass off in Hollywood trying to find my place because I’m cute and very funny. When nothing was happening, I decided I wouldn’t do anything else until I knew who I was and why I was on the planet. I got my Masters in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica. There, I found out the answer to my two questions.
1. I am a bright Star temporarily housed in this Earth Suit.
2. I am on the planet to shine my light.
Since I have matched up my personality with my purpose, life is unfolding in the most magical way. All of the work that I am here to do is to remind myself and others “You Are Not Alone”. Dictated by Leigh- Typed by her assistant Alisha
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. I have had struggles in my marriage and some of my children that struggle. I am excited to say I have learned to be at peace and in happiness regardless of what life brings and that every struggle is an amazing gift for learning.
leigh.la – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business is about connecting with people and spreading Love. I do this by online programs, workshops, podcasting, and speaking at live events. I specialize in opening my mind and heart, partnering with god, and seeing people in a deep way. I am also known for my wicked humor, relatability, and my bright light. I walk with my eyes and heart wide open. I am always available to learn or to touch someone. I have never met a stranger. I think the best part of my 1-on-1 coaching is including the Spiritual Perspective. It is way greater than anything our limited human brain can conceive. I am most proud of choosing an assistant that was the exact fit I needed. I am also proud of how people light up after I work with them because I have touched their heart and helped cut the tethers that bind them.
As a Spiritual teacher what sets me apart from the Deepak Chopra’s and Eckart Tolle’s of the world is my relatability and sense of humor. I share my messy imperfect life openly to let other people know they are not alone. As a life coach my intuitive gut feeling, because I am connected to God, seem to be exactly what the person needs.
