Meet LeeAnna Vamp

Today we’d like to introduce you to LeeAnna Vamp.

LeeAnna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My name is LeeAnna Vamp, I am an actress, model, host, beekeeper, creator and producer. My journey began years ago, honestly I’d say as far back as my childhood. Growing up as a fan of all things spooky, it’s something that has been part of my work as long as I can remember.

The Vamp brand is who I am. It’s not a character or outfit that I put on, it’s embedded in all aspects of what I do from my children’s show “The Fiends” to my horror-themed show Let’s Get Spooky and it can even be found in my beekeeping.

Has it been a smooth road?
As with any journey, the road changes throughout. I think the biggest struggle is the constant need to create and keep content coming on a regular basis, especially when juggling multiple projects. My team consists of my husband and myself, so we have to find a good balance and each do our part. Things can get overwhelming at times, but the end result of anything we do together is always worth any bumps in the road!

We’d love to hear more about your work.
This is always a fun question to answer because I do so many things, my brand is “Me” so it extends through my many projects, companies and creative ventures. I am an actress, model, host, beekeeper content creator and lover of all things spooky. First, up is a show that my husband and I created called “The Fiends”, it’s a Frightfully Fun show and brand for all ages! We create educational and entertainment videos that all revolve around our spooky Halloween world. We also have a merchandise line that includes clothing, plushies, pins and other accessories. And recently published a children’s book called That’s Using Your Imagination: Pirates.

I also produce and host a horror-themed show and podcast called Let’s Get Spooky. Let’s Get Spooky is a fright-filled and curiously crafted show led by myself and some of my closest ghoul-friends. Through each episode, we discuss and search the dark corners of our world for all the strange things that make life and the afterlife interesting. From the supernatural to aliens, horror stories, ghost stories and our own paranormal investigations, we’ve got you covered! Our deep love for all things spooky comes through in each and every episode. You can join us as we spill the truth, serve up some Creepy Treats and deliver hours of fangtastic fun at www.LetsGetSpooky.com

I have also acted in various horror films and hosted my very own ghost hunting/travel show called GHOSTED. If there is one thing I love, it’s going to spooky locations. GHOSTED followed me as I explored the South and all the spooky fun I could get into. I was able to meet amazing people who shared so many killer stories with me, eat amazing food and then when it got dark, I was off to do some paranormal investigations. I guess you could say filming the show made me a 100% believer in the paranormal. I had always been a believer, but I had never had that one experience that without a doubt I could say “that was unexplainable” and I had quite a few of those while filming the show!

Another newer venture has been my essential oil fragrance line called RIPotions. I create handcrafted and cruelty-free essential oil fragrances with one of my ghoul-friends. Each scent is handcrafted with a moon-charged quartz crystal and a variety of botanicals. Not only do the fragrances smell amazing, but they are also super hydrating and make you feel magical! All of the current RIPotions are available at www.RIPotions.com

The last thing I would like to mention is that I am also a Beekeeper! I have always loved bees and after a hive took over a birdhouse in my backyard and quickly outgrew the space, my husband and I decided we needed to give them a proper home. We began our Vamp Farms beekeeping journey with one hive and that quickly escalated. We currently have a few hives and absolutely love taking care of our bees. Bees were recently named THE MOST IMPORTANT SPECIES EVER! I encourage people to save the bees and help them to understand the importance of bees.

The truth is, if bees cease to exist, humans cease to exist! People often ask, “you keep bees for the honey right?” The answer is no, I keep bees because they are an important part of our environment and I want to do my part to help protect them and educate others about them. The honey is just an amazing added bonus! I have also made Vamp Farms honey available at local Southern California events due to popular demand.

The thing that I am most proud of is the diversity in everything that I do. One thing that I have found is that people always want to put you in a box; it’s hard for people to understand that a person can be more than one thing. I am more than just one thing, I am Vamp!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think that Los Angeles is a place where you CAN make your dreams come true. It sounds super cliche, but the truth is, our city has so much to offer and so many opportunities. I don’t feel like I would have been able to achieve as much as I have in any other place, I also say this because I grew up very close to LA and Southern California has always been my home.

One important thing to remember is that all true success comes from hard work and determination! You don’t need to be in any particular place for that to happen, but sunny LA isn’t a bad place for it 😉
