Meet Lawyer Beaty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lawyer Beaty.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Everything came to me as a kid. Growing up, I heard my dad saying how he wanted to one day have a bar lounge of his own. I can remember walking down Colorado Blvd in Old Town Pasadena and seeing this old restaurant for sell. We talked about how that would be a great spot for a lounge and ever since then, I took on that passion to open up my own bar lounge one day.

Years went by and I moved to Tucson, Arizona for school to obtain my Bachelor’s in Communication with a minor in Business Administration. My last semester of college, my dear friend/sister Amber and I randomly signed up for bartending school. We got our bartending license at ABC Bartending School and that same weekend we finished, the world shut down due to Covid-19.

Quickly moved back to California and finished school online. However, because I didn’t want everything that I learned in bartending school to escape my mind. I would make drinks and different cocktails during my free time. I had so much trying different recipes and creating new things. With that passion, that’s how I got to where I am today. My passion. My Drive. My eager to make people feel good during such a difficult time.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing in life comes easy, especially when it comes to business. It’s so many moving parts and things you have to look out for. Such as marketing and licensing. However, the most important thing is staying motivating and remaining consistent. Those two things are what can drive the road to be challenging. Because it’s so easy to because unmotivated, especially if you feel like your business isn’t doing as good as you thought it would. Remember, timing is everything. Everything does not happen over time. Staying consistent is key because it only takes that one viewer.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Outside of creating drinks, I am a Director at Chick-fil-A. I have always worked in the food service department. I specialize in customer experience and marketing. I am most proud of my drive, and my determination to never give up on what I believe in.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success means accomplishing a task you set your mind out to do, no matter how big or small it is. You have to be able to celebrate every win! If you made it to work on time, be proud. If you graduated college, be proud. If you got a $0.50 raise, be proud. If you got offered the job you always wanted and worked so hard for, be proud! Celebrate completing everything you set your mind out to do.
