Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Grigoryan.
Laura, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started Flipbook Frenzy while studying at UCSD. The idea of modern flipbooks came to me after I noticed how incredibly fun photo booths are, and how memorable they made the events which I attended. I started to look into it as a business idea and stumbled across a service for flipbooks that can be customized and shipped to you. I thought this was fun, but I wanted to take it a step further, I wanted to take a full flipbook setup to events and create them on the spot. I decided to do a trial event in order to see if it was a viable business idea, the bachelorette party, which was the first trial event was a smashing success. I soon realized all the applications for flipbook, and its potential, so I began forming my business plan and purchased top of the line equipment. I was motivated and excited to spread this amazingly fun party favor for all kinds of events. The first year of the business I already had worked numerous events and even many companies and celebrities such as Mario Lopez. In 2015 Nick Melikian joined me as a partner, and since then we have worked to provide the laughter and memories that flipbooks bring to any event.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth and fun road. The only challenge I can think of was trying to run a business, work and go to nursing school but ever since my partner, Nick, joined it has been easier to manage and perfect the business.

Flipbook frenzy is a Los Angeles based high-quality flipbook/Photo booth/Green screen rental service. But we are mostly known for creating animated keepsakes in minutes known as flipbooks. Flipbooks are 60 pages of pictures that give the illusion of a video when flipping. They are so much fun they can turn the most boring party into the most talked about event! The best part of it is you get your very own flipbook within a few minutes after recording your video.
Flipbooks are great for all ages and all types of gatherings. We get bookings from businesses in every sector whether it is for a company holiday party, promotional event as well as special moments like weddings, birthday parties, and Bar/Bat mitzvahs. As a company, we are most proud of our fast growth. Over the last few years, we have worked with numerous celebrities and were also part of the baby special episode of “Rob and Chyna”.
