Meet Latoia Fitzgerald of Lionne Clothing in DTLA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Latoia Fitzgerald.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Latoia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Prior to Lionne, I created Dillonger Clothing, kid’s clothing line named after my son, Dillon. When I started Lionne Clothing, I wanted it to be a brand for women that would be cohesive with my kid’s line. But as the designing for Lionne elevated, it turned out to be a women’s apparel brand that stood on its own.

Lionne Clothing was born in 2018 and is one of the latest independent global fashion houses in the world today. Our innovative women’s wear brings style and sophistication to the forefront. Keeping queens in mind, our collections balance edge and elegance.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth ride. The hardest part about launching a fashion line is the business side of things. I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs on the back end of my business.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Lionne Clothing – what should we know?
Lionne Clothing is a women’s apparel brand.

Our clothes are affordable, functional, comfortable and stylish in equal measures.

The evolution of Lionne is what I’m most proud of. Understanding and getting to know the Lionne lady more and more is so satisfying. The brand would not be where it is today without her! Has come so far and where it’s headed.

We set ourself apart with constructed women’s garments and premium quality.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The way 2020 is going, I have no idea lol. Obviously, like many other industries, the fashion industry has really honed in on the virtual world. Fashion runway shows across the world are going virtual in response to the coronavirus outbreak. In the age of social distancing, we just may continue to see virtual runway shows.

We actually did our first virtual runway show for our Queen of Fucking Everything collection in June of 2019. The idea was to offer everyone a “front row seat” via Instagram to view the new collection. We received great feedback! It’s nice to see virtual runway shows currently tending. We love it!
