Meet Lash Fary of Distinctive Assets

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lash Fary.

Distinctive Assets was founded in 1999. The company began with a private showroom selling clothing, jewelry, and accessories to all of the top television shows in Los Angeles and directly to many actresses.

Based on an eye for cutting-edge products coupled with first-hand knowledge of celebrity needs, we expanded into gifting talent through award show gift bags and official backstage gift lounges. Because of the overwhelmingly positive celebrity response, Distinctive Assets was able to offer companies the opportunity to have their products and services aligned with Hollywood’s most elite trendsetters.

Distinctive Assets quickly established a reputation for impressing the seemingly unimpressible by introducing them to a unique blend of new & unusual with tried & true name brands. With the benefit of immense press exposure and unrivaled access, Distinctive Assets now offers a full roster of branding, marketing, and public relations services.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In the beginning, it was almost too easy. The universe seemed to conspire to support this new concept we had created. Over the past two decades of doing this, there have of course been challenges… mostly the same challenges any business faces: managing employees, expanding while managing overhead, seasonality of the business, demanding clients, increased competition. But in the end, having an incredible team coupled with a passion for the work have allowed us to successfully meet and overcome any and all challenges.

Lash Fary, President, and Founder of Distinctive Assets didn’t just corner the market on award show celebrity product placement; he literally invented it. Lash has successfully pioneered celebrity product placement and spearheaded the proliferation of award show swag.

Distinctive Assets has worked exclusively with top award shows including the GRAMMY Awards, Latin Grammys, Tony Awards, American Music Awards, BET Awards, Kids’ Choice Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards. Lash took a concept and transformed it into a proven industry standard and bona fide media obsession.

A leader in his industry, Lash continues to develop best-in-class marketing strategies and campaigns by creatively introducing products and services to help clients leverage the star power of Hollywood and beyond. So, what’s next? Any big plans?
While we will always have our hat in the award show ring, we have found great success in recent years using the celebrity access and overall business connections forged by 20 years of diligent work to assist brands with cause-related content.

This is not just a personal passion, but something I feel is important for the unique world we live in right now. I say no to way more business than I say yes to these days. Being passionate about any project I do at this point is important. I am always looking to collaborate with awesome brands to help them grow and give back.
