Meet Kylie Ann and Ashlyn Renee of Sagebrush Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kylie Ann and Ashlyn Renee.

Hi Kylie and Ashlyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Together we share a mutual passion for creating an attractive space that brings people together. There is a certain type of comfort that your home can truly offer to you and your loved ones and we loved exhausting that comfort to the fullest. Opening up the doors to our homes, grazing over charcuterie boards and conversing with good company has become routine for the both of us. Over countless casual dinner parties and a good deal of wine, we formally came together with a small business idea based around what we enjoy most: hosting intimate gatherings. With this idea continuously being our foundation of conversation, it was easy to agree that we simply wanted to help elevate life’s special moments for people and who they adore most. We have an appetite for creating an enjoyable experience for our friends and families, and with this mutual passion, we began to simply dream about what was going to later become Sagebrush Co. “It all begins with an idea. Turning that idea into something worth sharing with others is what brings me all the feels. This small business of ours is exactly that. With the intention of focusing on celebrations, conversations, and simply just being surrounded by good company we bring you Sagebrush Co.” — Kylie Ann

Between the two of us we began to collect pieces of our own home and dining decor to collaborate on a specific style we wanted to run with. We went to vintage flea markets and asked my [Kylie] husband, who owns his own reclaimed wood business if he could build us a couple of low to the ground picnic style tables for our intimate gatherings. With the small amount of inventory we accumulated and the intention of starting our business, we began to host more small dinner parties for our friends and family. Through good feedback and social media exposure we started to get bookings for romantic beach picnic dates, baby showers, bridal parties, engagements…any occasion, you name it. With determination to bring even more to our client’s gathering experience, we began to reach out to some of our favorite local businesses. In collaboration with florists, charcuterie specialists, local artists, photographers, wedding venues, bridal shops, yoga instructors and influencers we wanted to bring the community together and especially support the small businesses we could during the pandemic. Through networking, we have had the pleasure of creating such awe-inspiring relationships that have opened up so many more doors than we could have dreamed of. Our baby of a small business started out with design and decor simply for small gatherings and quickly grew into the ability to cater large scale weddings and events. “I love finding creative ways to bring people together and appreciate moments supported by feel-good design and most importantly great people. Our hope is to bring you the same cozy, memorable moments for you and yours. What I am most proud of is our support with other local businesses and vendors. We believe by lifting up other small businesses in our community, we can bring an experience unlike any other. We get to dedicate our focus to your experience and what that creates while we source out to our local community vendors. Welcome to Sagebrush Co.” — Ashlyn Renee

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
We have been determined from the beginning to stick to who we are, our style, and how we want others to view us and simply what we are willing to provide. When starting a small business, it is easy to get caught up in the quick financial gain, however, we realized real fast that accommodating everyone’s needs wasn’t going to motivate us in making this small business last in the long run. Along the way, we have learned that sticking to who we are as Sagebrush Co. is very important when it comes to keeping our passion burning. Saying yes is important but it is also very important to know when to say no…What we offer purely defines what inspires us. We take pride in our style and for a moment, we had to step back, course correct, and remind ourselves to stay authentic to who we are.

We’ve been impressed with Sagebrush Co., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We offer customizable design and decor for your occasions worth celebrating or simply to bring something special into your day. Our decor collections feature carefully curated pieces, purely defining what inspires us, creating an unparalleled experience for you. In fresh design textured with linen and florals your gatherings will be nothing short of luxurious. From picnics on the beach to large-scale weddings we do it all. A collection of our tables are freshly custom built, while our other tables have a rustic touch, being that they are from overseas and over 150 years old! We try to locally source as often as possible and truly want to ensure that every piece is representing our style: luxurious yet comfortable. We also feature some of our favorite local vendors in hopes to give you a custom and unique experience.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Moving forward, we plan to have more wedding events under our belts, more inventory for our clients to choose from, and hopefully a way bigger warehouse/showroom! We would love for our clients to be able to shop around and hand select the inventory they wish to use. From the beginning, we have always kept the idea of eventually selling lifestyle and home decor items in our back pocket. Our dream is to be able to later provide a digital platform for our consumers to purchase items through the shop and bring the decor that we love and inspires us into their own homes.
