Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Reynolds
Hi Kyle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Our journey started on a Valentine’s Day date when my fiancé and I attended a painting workshop. We had an incredible time, and it sparked something in us. We loved how painting allowed us to connect, relax, and create something special together. That night, we realized we wanted to share that experience with others, and soon after, we decided to start our own painting workshop business.
We focused on pop-up events in the Inland Empire, LA, and Orange County, offering a fun and creative outlet for people to unwind and bond through art. As we grew, we began collaborating with influencers, hosting painting sessions that brought in a new level of engagement. Now, we’re expanding into artist features, giving music artists a platform to promote and engage with their fans.
It’s been a whirlwind, but seeing the joy our workshops bring to others keeps us motivated, and we’re excited to continue growing from where we started!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and one of the early challenges we faced was logistics—finding the right venues for our pop-up events and not knowing if people would actually show up. Another big lesson we learned was from over-ordering products. We got excited and went all in, ordering too many of the same items upfront, and in hindsight, we wish we had scaled up more gradually. It was a costly mistake, and we learned that sometimes it’s better to take things step by step rather than diving in all at once.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Fluid Art is a unique workshop designed for people looking for a fun and creative outlet, whether it’s for a date night, family gathering, or simply to de-stress and unwind. Our sessions don’t require any prior art experience—most of our guests come in feeling a bit anxious but leave feeling accomplished after creating their own masterpiece. We specialize in art therapy sessions, making our workshops perfect for team-building activities or as a way to relieve stress.
One of our proudest moments was when one of our videos went viral, and we had people drive 5+ hours just to attend one of our sessions. It’s an incredible feeling to know that our work resonates with people and draws them in from far away. What sets us apart is the overall experience we provide—the combination of music, art, and an inviting atmosphere creates an energy that people love. It’s more than just painting; it’s about the vibes and the environment we create.
What were you like growing up?
I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. From a young age, I was the most optimistic person in the room, always dreaming big and working on something new. I’ve had countless ideas over the years, and I’m constantly looking for ways to bring them to life. Personality-wise, I’d say I’m the kind of person who loves to welcome people, make them feel comfortable, and bring out the best in them. Growing up, I was always curious, creative, and eager to turn my visions into reality. Those traits have definitely shaped who I am and the way I approach my work today.
