Meet Kirk Remekie of M.I.L.K Making It Look Kool

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kirk Remekie.

Kirk, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I created the clothing brand Making It Look Kool (M.I.L.K) Apparel in 2016. M.I.L.K apparel is a family brand geared towards fashion, sports, education and positive lifestyle. Apart from producing KOOl apparel, Making It Look Kool Apparel also manufactures KOOl uniforms for school children in the Brooklyn, New York area. My ultimate goal for my brand is to make a huge impact in the fashion industry, expand my work with schools nationwide and created kool products such as optical wear and sports equipment.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has not been an easy one, I started my business with little to no capital. I had no one to mentor me along the way, I had to learn the fashion business through trial and error. I had to make affordable step forward due to the lack of knowledge and capital. I’m nowhere near where I’d like to be, but I’m far from where I use to be.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about M.I.L.K Making It Look Kool – what should we know?
I am The CEO of Making It Look Kool apparel, I oversee every aspect of the business from website to design to printing and marketing. M.I.L.K apparel is known for creating really kool apparel and color waves for sneakers and relevant trends. I’m most proud of Making It Look Kool apparel for the impact it’s having on the children and organizations we are currently working with. I believe being and clothing line and uniform company in one sets Making It Look Kool apparel apart from any other brand.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe hard work, perseverance and most of all, patience is very important in the success of Making It Look Kool (M.I.L.K) apparel.
