Today we’d like to introduce you to Kip Barry.
Kip, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m a performer who grew up in the Midwest and has traveled and entertained all over the world in more than 60 countries. My love for eclectic entertainment and Magic led me to putting together this beautiful CABARET old world style, yet hip variety entertainment theater called Kip Barry’s Cabaret.
We have different and unique acts every week and I enjoy guest starring from time to time. We also have a great CAFE with upscale cappuccinos, Gourmet Popcorn, ice cream and a lot more as well as a huge MAGICAL GIFT SHOP and Inspirational VIP ROOM.
Life is good today, we love our guests and they know it! Everyone is a VIP at Kip Barry’s Cabaret and we always leave try to leave them smiling!
Has it been a smooth road?
I had to overcome some personal illness.
I lost my voice for more than 2 years and had to go off the road and suffered financial difficulties and then some depression as a result which caused more trials and severe challenges in my life.
Through the grace of God…, the wonderful audiences and living life one day at a time that I am able to live a life beyond my wildest dreams!
So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Kip Barry’s Cabaret story. Tell us more about the business.
We’re known for our unique variety show MAGICAL gifts, great CAFE jokes n gags and people seem to love our demonstrations and service.
We also treat people very well and we have a lot of eye candy, from zoltar to love tester machines to vintage penny pincher to a 1918 upright piano on our stage…etc… We have a beautiful place!! Even our Green room where we take people back stage on special occasions like birthdays is a “Show Place”.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see myself doing more TV and I have been getting quite a few offers lately to come on and do some national appearances.
We want to just keep providing high quality unique SHOWS and most importantly give new talent and SEASONED talent a great place to perform and for the public to enjoy them! Working with others and helping to cultivate other talent helps give my life PURPOSE and I thank God every day that I am fortunate enough to do it.
